Inaugurated by Bharat Ratna Late Sh. C. Subramanium in the year 1994, Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula is a constituent institution of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The Vidyalaya endeavours to keep alive the Bhavan's faith as set forth by late Dr. K.M Munshi, of reintegrating Indian culture and holding fast to the fundamental values for which it stands. Bhavan Vidyalaya is a Senior Secondary Public School affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The school is a co-educational institution with classes from L.KG - Grade XII, the medium of instruction being English. The institution strives to provide, in keeping with the aims of comprehensive quality education to develop all facets of a child's personality.

Art Competition

In celebration of Basant Panchami, Bhavan’s Chetna Vidyalaya hosted an exhilarating art competition that showcased the creativity and talent of its students. The event, held on February 14, 2024, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various age groups. The occasion, which marks the onset of spring and is revered for its cultural significance, was embraced with vibrant colours and artistic fervour. Students adorned the canvas with their interpretations of the season’s beauty, illustrating themes of renewal, growth and joy.

Regional Brain Bee Competition

The department of neurology, PGIMER, in association with Indian Brain Bee, International Brain Bee and the Society for Neuroscience (SFN), organised the 15th Regional Brain Bee Quiz on February 3, 2024.
Three students of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula won the regional level of the Chandigarh Brain Bee Competition.
All three students, Mayank Sinha, Ishika and Harshita, Std. 11 students of Medical Stream, had qualified for the regional level of the competition. Mayank Sinha topped the competition and will represent the region at the National level to be held in Kochi, in May 2024.


Triumph at CineMaestro I Take 5


In a moment of immense pride, Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula shone as Shivom of Std. 8 secured the coveted Best Actor Award and the dynamic duo of Kudrat (Std. 8) and Navya (Std. 8) clinched the Best Choreography Award for their outstanding contribution in the prestigious ‘CineMaestro: Shaping Future Filmmakers—Take 5’ competition hosted by Chitkara International School.
The winning movie, directed by Ms. Arpana Gupta from the Film and Theatre Department, reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing creative talents and shaping future film-makers.

Super Champion


Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula is one of the five educational institutes (schools / colleges / universities) to receive the ‘Super Champion’ award by the prestigious Royal Society of Chemistry. The school is recognised for this accolade for the outstanding commitment and enthusiastic participation for creating awareness on AMR (anti-microbial resistance)/Superbugs in society. It was done by conducting an augmented workshop ‘FAST’ (Fighting Against Superbugs Together) at the school in collaboration with the Royal Society of Chemistry. The students Jai Verma (Std. 8), Anika Tiwari (Std. 8), Vivaan Aggarwal (Std. 8), Aadi Bhardwaj (Std. 12) and Rohan Garg (Std. 8) were recognised as ‘Super Champs’ for spreading awareness through their social media platforms. These students were awarded certificates and goody bags. The PGT Chemistry Ms Megha Bhardwaj was also awarded a ‘Super Champ’ certificate and a goody bag for her dedication and commitment to the social cause.


FAB Teacher Award


The FAB Teacher Award is an opportunity for students to express their gratitude and appreciation for teachers who have gone above and beyond to inspire, mentor and support them throughout their academic and personal development. Ms. Sarika Mahajan and Ms. Neha have been selected as the recipients of the 2024 FAB Teacher Award, having been nominated by their students for their outstanding dedication, passion and positive influence. Both teachers have demonstrated a deep commitment to nurturing their students’ growth and fostering a supportive learning environment. As a token of appreciation and recognition, Ms. Sarika Mahajan and Ms. Neha were presented with a certificate and a plaque, symbolising their exceptional achievements and the profound gratitude of their students.

Visit to Orphanage

The students of Std. 2 visited Shishu Gruha, an orphanage, and exhibited remarkable generosity and compassion, as they eagerly donated essential items like diapers, milk powder, new clothes, bed sheets, personal care items (like toothpaste and shampoo) and stationery items to enrich the lives of the children at Shishu Gruha. Moreover, the students engaged the children with uplifting songs, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere.
A few volunteer parents took out their valuable time and expressed their compassion towards the children and staff.


Republic Day Felicitations

In a momentous celebration of Republic Day 2024, the Government of Haryana bestowed a prestigious honour upon Mukul Gill, the music teacher at Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, for his outstanding contribution to Haryana and Haryanvi Music at the international level. The felicitation ceremony, presided over by Sh. Gyan Chand Guptaji, the esteemed Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, recognised his exemplary achievements in the field of music. Mukul a distinguished National level performer, has earlier been honoured with the B-High Grade Artist designation by All India Radio. His exceptional musical prowess has been acknowledged with four gold medals in youth festivals, further attesting to his remarkable talent and dedication. Adding to his illustrious credentials, Mukul is a Gold Medallist in MA Music from Punjab University Chandigarh. He has received the Chief Minister’s Award in 2017 and the Governor’s Award in 2011, underscoring his significant contributions to the realm of music. The felicitation by the Government of Haryana is a recognition of his commitment to excellence in Haryana and Haryanvi music, elevating the state’s cultural heritage to international acclaim. Mukul Gill’s multifaceted accomplishments and his global impact in the realm of music make him a noteworthy ambassador of Haryana’s cultural richness.

Ration Distribution Drive


The students of Bhavan’s Rotary Interact Club exhibited a commendable commitment to community welfare by organising a ration distribution drive at the Society of Bal Niketan. With a heartfelt effort to address basic needs, this initiative reflects the club’s dedication to making a positive impact and fostering care and support within the community.
Bhavan’s Rotary Interact Club continues to exemplify the spirit of community service, showcasing a commitment to impactful initiatives beyond academics. The dynamic group of students consistently strives to contribute to community well-being, instilling a sense of responsibility and compassion among its members.

Twinning Programme


Government Girls Senior Secondary School Sector 15 Panchkula conducted a twinning programme, fostering knowledge, exchange and cultural enrichment. The initiative, which brought together 40 students and 2 teachers from the school, aimed at providing a unique learning experience for all participants.
The programme focused on promoting collaboration, cultural understanding, and knowledge sharing among students from different backgrounds. 40 students participated in the Reading and Theatre workshop conducted by the Teachers of Bhavan Vidyalaya. Throughout the duration of the twinning programme, students engaged in a variety of educational activities, including workshops, interactive sessions, and collaborative projects.


Achievements

With great joy, Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula celebrates the outstanding accomplishments of its students Lavanya Khurana, Ishrat Sandhu, Utkarsh, and Tanisha Singhi. These students were recognised as being among the Top 100 at the esteemed Youth Ideathon 2023. Over 1.5 lakh school students countrywide participated in this competition, which focused on innovative ideas. The Certificate of Excellence has been given to the winning students as a token of appreciation for their exceptional participation in the competition. Among the large pool of talent, their creative ideas shone out, demonstrating the depth of intelligence and creativity at Bhavan Vidyalaya. Shri Ashu Gupta, a teacher at the school and team mentor, was also named among the Top 100 mentors, which is a testament to the school’s dedication to developing mentor excellence and student success.

Patriotic Fervour

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, observed the solemn and grand celebration of Republic Day 2024. The entire school echoed with enthusiasm and patriotism, featuring teacher performances in dance and patriotic song renditions. A special highlight of the event was the Hasya Kavi Sammelan. The jugalbandi of music and dance by Aadil and Naina mesmerised everyone.


Honour for Principal

The Principal of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula Smt. Gulshan Kaur was honoured by Panchkula administration. She has been recognised for her remarkable and commendable contribution in the field of education. The distinguished guest at the event, Shri Gian Chand Gupta, MLA of Panchkula and Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly, personally bestowed the honour upon her, acknowledging her exemplary dedication and unwavering commitment to the cause of education.


COP28 Green School Award-23

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula received the ‘COP28 Green School Award-23’ recognition for its exceptional work supporting a sustainable learning environment and green education initiatives. In partnership with COP28 UAE, Green Mentors, a non-governmental organisation committed to responsible education solutions, presented the prestigious prize. Bhavan Vidyalaya’s dedication to environmental sustainability in education was recognised at the occasion. The principal, Smt. Gulshan Kaur, celebrated this historic day by planting a sapling on the school grounds with the support of the teaching and non-teaching staff. This symbolic action shows the school’s continued dedication to fostering a better, greener future in addition to celebrating the accomplishment.


Excellence in Vigyan Yatra

In an impressive display of scientific prowess, two students of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, Ishrat Sandhu and Utkarsh, secured Third Prize at Vigyan Yatra, a prestigious science exhibition hosted by Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya in New Delhi. This recognition comes after intense competition with entries from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Schools across the nation in this esteemed National Level exhibition. Both the awardees Ishrat Sandhu and Utkarsh, were honoured with certificates and a commendable cash award of Rs.1000 each.
