Bhavan's Tripura Vidyamandir was set on the soil of Tripura on 2nd October 1996 by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. It is the product of constant hard work, dedication and lots of good will of Late Regional
Director K.V. Gopal Krishnan and Late Administrator B.C Banerjee.
Some of the special features of this Institution includes individual cottage module for the tiny tots, extension of playground, library facilities, access of computer, well-equipped laboratory etc. it is co-educational, C.B.S.E School with 100% success at the Board Exam.
Besides, individuals attention to the Children, parental care, wise counseling are the principles of this institution. There is Swavalamban institution where women learned stitching and Gandhi institution for teaching computer. Thus it has become a popular institution in the city.
Apart from BTVM, there are 6 other Institutions serving under Kendra.
Bhavan's Kala Kendra which is actively running in the city to promote
different co-curricular activities.
The institution having several mllestones yet to achieve. At present it is one of
the shining stars in the field of education. The institution works with the
mission at making students independent, well behaved and good citizen of our
mother India.
NEWS & EVENTS
Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir organised a three-day dance workshop from October 11-13, 2023, where the resource person was Smt. Sarbani Nandi, an eminent classical dancer of Tripura. She inculcated an interest towards art and culture among the students. On the closing ceremony of the workshop, the Agomoni programme was also organised where Sri Uttam Chakraborty, renowned reciter and associate with Kavyalok, and Smt. Sarbani Nandi were present as guests. The highlight of the programme was the mesmerising performances by the students who had participated in the dance workshop, handing over certificates to them and a wonderful drama depicting the victory of good over evil by the students.
On October 2, 2023 Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir Narsingarh celebrated its 28th foundation day. Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir was founded by Lt. K.V. Gopal Krishnan on October 2, 1996. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha was the chief guest, Sri Dipak Majumder Mayor AMC, was the guest of honour, while Nibedita Das Saha, Panchayat Pradhan, Narsingarh, Dr. Mukut Roy, eminent endocrinologist, and Dr. J. L. Baidya, eminent gynaecologist, were special guests. The programme began with the offering of floral tributes to the statue of Lt. K. V. Gopala Krishnan and the laying of the foundation stone of the school’s Saraswati Temple by the Chief Minister. It was followed by various mesmerising cultural programmes and prize giving ceremonies.
Bhavan’s Tripura Teacher Training College organised a ‘Sit and Draw Competition’ amongst 3 to 12 years old children in memory of the Late Kashinath Das, former Director of Agartala Kendra on his second death anniversary on September 24, 2023. 103 children from various schools in the vicinity of the college and Agartala city took part in the event.
Bhavans Tripura Vidyamandir participated in the State level competition of TLM (Teaching Learning Material) organised by Education Department, Govt of Tripura and secured the position among the Best Top 5 Models of the Exhibition in Numeracy Category.
National Sports Day was observed in the premise of BTVM to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dhyan Chand, the great Hockey maestro. A friendly volleyball match between students of BTVM and Assam Riffles Public School was organised. The Chief Guest was Saraju Chakraborty, renowned Sports Journalist, Joint Secretary of Tripura Sports Council, Vice President of Sports Journalist Federation of India. As a token of love, all the players were given a wrist band and a pen by the principal of the school. The Chief Guest praised BTVM for encouraging students in sports by organising such events.
