Screening of interesting films with aesthetic appeal forms part of the multifaceted programmes of Bhavan as conceived by its visionary founder Dr. K. M. Munshi to promote, sustain and propagate Indian Culture. The latest in this dispension is the projection of 14 Kannada movies directed by Nagabharana, a maker of award-winning films.
Kendra Director Shri H. N. Suresh said that the Bhavan had, in the past, organised the screening of award winning films of noted directors like G. V. Iyer and R. Nagendra Rao. The practice is being renewed now, he said.
Nagabharana, well-known movie director in Kannada films, has made a name in both parallel and mainstream cinema.
The week-long cinemavarana screened five of his internationally acclaimed movies, eight national level award- winning films and a children's film.
