Speaking as chief guest at the Graduates Day of the M.P. Birla Institute of Fundamental Research, an associate of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Prof Jayagopal Uchil , Director of Jain University, Bangalore, .highlighted the nuances of Astronomy and Astrophysics,on Feb. 16, 2014. He also briefly dwelt on the topics of Dark Matter and Dark Mass.
Before giving away the certificatres to 53 outgoing graduates in the year, Prof. Uchil appreciated the work of the institute.
Among the graduates, Meenakshi Hariharan won an award as the best student and Dr. Devarakonda Krishna Kanth for excellent overall performance.
Institute Director, Dr. G.S.D.Babu welcomed the gathering and presented a brief report on its working during the year and introduced the chief guest.
