After successfully clearing the online prelims, two class XI students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh -Ayushee Arora and Aditya Khemka won the second position at the 'Young Leaders Initiative', a specialty event of the national management festival, SRCC Business Conclave 2014 was held from February 5 to 7. The management festival included a wide spectrum of business based events, one of which was the 'Young Leaders Initiative' aimed at providing a unique exposure of college life to young school students. 12 schools were shortlisted from all over India for this competition.
The students interacted with the sharpest and most creative brains of the country and participated in five unique events spanning a range of business concepts and applications such as marketing, stakeholdership, case study, product designing, trading and general business awareness.
They also got the opportunity of listening to distinguished speakers such as Shri P. Chidambaram (Union Minister of Finance), Pramod Bhasin (Non-Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Genpact), Richard Rekhy (Chief Executive Officer of KPMG India), Arvind Mayaram (Secretary DEA, MOF) etc.
All the speakers interacted with the students motivating and enlightening them on topics such as 'Accelerating India's Growth', 'Entrepreneurship', 'Social Responsibility', 'Vision -2020' among others.
