Prof. G. Venkatasubbiah, renowned Kannada litterateur and lexicographer, released "Moonbeams and The Mango Tree" a novel in English authored by Dr. T. N. Dilip, a popular orthopaedic Surgeon of the city.
Explaining how he had himself given up reading novels almost 30 years ago, the centenarian Prof. G. V. who is as much recognised as an exacting literary critic, confessed that he had completed reading the voluminous book in three days. He said that should speak for the facile development of the story, impactful narration and impressive characterisation.
Referring to the conception of the plot itself, GV praised the convincing way in which the author had juxtaposed ancient beliefs and contemporary notions.
