Inauguration of Gita Recitation competition.

Bhavan's Thrissur Kendra which has been conducting the All Kerala Gita Recitation Competition since 1983, held it this year also on August 28, 2013, Ashtami Rohini day, at Bhavan's Bala Mandir, Thrissur.
Two hundred eighty two students from over 29 schools from over 14 districts of Kerala participated in the competition. The competition was inaugurated by Shri P. Chithran Namboodaripad, Sr. Vice Chairman of Thrissur Kendra.
Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Pottore bagged the overall trophy while Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Poochatty came second and Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Chevayoor, Kozhikode came in third.
