Dr. H. R. Bhardwaj, the Governor of Karnataka and Swami Harshanandaji Maharaj, President Ramakrishna Math, lighting the lamp to mark Munshiji’s 125th Birth Anniversary.

At a function organised by the Bangalore Kendra on December 30, 2012, His Excellency Dr. H. R. Bhardwaj, the Governor of Karnataka, delivered a special lecture at the Raj Bhavan, Bangalore, on 'Dr. K. M. Munshi – His Life and Message' as a part the 125th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Munshiji. "A great savant, Shri K. M. Munshi devoted his entire energy towards promoting value-based education" observed Dr. Bhardwaj.
Dr. Bhardwaj also released 'Patanada Prabhuvata', a Kannada translation of Shri Munshi's Gujarati novel 'Patan Ni Prabhuta'. Swami Shri Harshanandaji Maharaj, President of the Shri Ramakrishna Math, Bangalore presided over the function. He recalled the yeomen service of Munshiji in the integration of Hyderabd in the Indian Union.
Shri K. G. Raghavan, Hon. Secretary, welcomed the gathering and Shri H. R. Ananth, Vice-President proposed the vote of thanks.
