The Trichy Kendra, on December 8, 2012, organised a function to celebrate Bhavan's Platinum Jubilee as well as the 125th Birth Anniversary of Munshiji. On this occasion,
Dr. Raghavan Seetharaman, CEO of Doha bank was honoured by Kendra Chairman, Dr. S. Chandrakumar. In his speech, Dr. Seetharaman emphasised that value based education with discipline is a must for students of today. According to him, it is the duty of the youth to establish our culture, tradition and heritage at an International level.
To mark this occasion, a spell binding dance performance by Padmashri S. Shobana was organised. Shobana's performance was a treat for all music and dance aficionados in Trichy. The Hindu lauded the Bhavan for keeping its promise of enriching the cultural scene of the city by bringing many acclaimed artistes to Trichy.
