The 7th Anniversary function of the Kendra was celebrated on July 20, 2018, began with a bhajan by Shri O.S. Arun & team, a Marathi abhang and Brindavani Venu Abheri raga by Saint Bhanudas, dedicated to the Chief Guest, Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Vice President of Bhavan and the Hon'ble Governor of Tamil Nadu.
Shri K.N. Ramaswamy, Director of Chennai Kendra was the Guest of Honour. The address by Dr. S. Chandrakumar, Chairman of the Kendra, was followed by a statement on the activities of the Kendra by its Hon. Secretary Shri T.V. Murali. In his address, Shri Banwarilal Purohit exhorted philanthropists in Trichy to come forward to set up Bhavan's institutions to provide education and employment to uplift weaker sections of the society. He praised Bhavan's Trichy Kendra, which is the 119th Kendra for being successful in promoting education and preserving Indian culture.
Shri Somasundaram rendered the vote of thanks.
