Harshit, a student of Class IX-B, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh has earned the distinction for bagging the First Position in the prestigious Global Association of Japanese Soroban and Mental Arithmetic held at Bangkok, Thailand on 1st October 2017. Harshit had qualified for the competition after clearing the national round held in August 2017. The competition saw overwhelming response worldwide and more than 2000 students from around 16 countries participated in the final round. Harshit was awarded a Gold Medal and a Winners's Trophy.
Sr. Principal Mrs. Vineeta Arora felicitated Harshit in the Morning Assembly and asked him to continue with the winning streak in future as well.
