Shri S. Gopalakrishnan, I.A. & A.S. (Retd.), was the Chief Guest.
Welcoming the guests, the Principal emphasised on the necessity of nourishment to these dying art forms that are in the form of neglected saplings.
Jada Koppu Kolatam or Veni Kolatam as popularly called, the alluring dance form was colourfully performed with 12 members holding colourful strings. The circular movements were so well timed and executed that the ropes hanging from the top became plaited in the form of chanthadu (binding rope) and a typical veni of a woman.
Gond Ghusadi is a tribal dance which belongs to Adilabad District. This dance form is basically performed at the end of the harvest season. Dressed in typical tribal costume marked with a headgear dressing of beautiful peacock feathers, the dance was rhythmic and energetic.
