The Trichy Kendra and South Zone Cultural Centre, Ministry of Culture, Government of India jointly in association with Trichy District Administration organised Bharatheeya Sanskriti Dharshan from September 27 to October 1, 2019. The programme was inaugurated by District Collector Sri. S. Sivarasu, IAS in the presence of Director of South Zone Cultural Centre, Sri. M. Balasubramaniam, and Director-projects, Sri. J. T. Chari.
Nine folk dance groups, comprising a team of 125 folk artists from Telangana, Kerala, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tamil Nadu performed at the mega event.
