Swati Tirunal anniversary celebrated

Music concert by Prince Rama Varma
|
The Kendra celebrated the completion of ten years of its existence and also celebrated the 200th birth anniversary of Swathi Tirunal. A Carnatic vocal music concert of the compositions of Swathi Tirunal was rendered by Prince Rama Varma, well known musician, on October 9 at Ooty.
The recital was co sponsored by All India Radio, Ooty and Doordarshan Kendra, Coimbatore. Dr. Srinivasan welcomed the gathering. He appealed to the audience to become members of the Bhavan and join hands with the committee in the work.
Rama Varma was assisted by S. R. Vinu on the violin, B. Hari Kumar on the mridagam and P. L. Sudheer on the ghatam. The vote of thanks was proposed by Shri Khivraj Sancheti, vice Chairman of the Kendra.
