Letter from Shri H.N. Dastur
to Principals of Bhavans Schools
Dear Principal,
Now that the Supreme Court has upheld the constitutional validity of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, reserving 25 per cent of the seats for the socially disadvantaged and economically weaker sections of society, all the Bhavan's schools have to strive their best to implement the provisions of the Act.
The school strictly adheres to CBSE norms following the CBSE Board. Classes from Pre Nursery to Class XII are held. Along with academics, various co-curricular activities are held and students are encouraged to participate in a myriad of activities for their all-round holistic development.
In the field of academics our students have made us proud by excelling not only in Board examinations but also in competitive exams like JEE, NEET, CLAT among others. They have also qualified in KVPY and JBNSTS scholarship exams. Our students participate and excel in Olympiads in various subjects including English, Science, Commerce, Cyber and Mathematics among others.
Games and sports form an important part of our curriculum. Students attend regular weekly games classes. Students also have the opportunity to enrol themselves in special training camps for various games and sports including cricket, karate, football, table tennis and basketball.
This is an inclusive educational institution and we have a special educator to cater to the needs of children with special needs.
Students are encouraged to participate in the programmes and events organised and conducted by CBSE. Empathy and compassion are integral parts of the growth and development of every student. They participate in social service activities organised by our social service club 'Alok'. During the pandemic the students participated in 'PoshanMaah', organised by CBSE and contributed in their own way to make lives easier for people around them.
The school provides several opportunities to the teaching staff to help in their development through workshops and training programmes organised by CBSE and other reputed educational organisations.
