The Sangeet & Nartan Shikshapeeth has trained more than 5000 students in music and dance since inception. The Shikshapeeth mainly teaches Hindustani (North Indian) classical vocal, tabla, sitar, sarangi, bansuri, Kathak dance, Odissi dance, Bharat Natyam dance, Hindi Sugam Sangeet and Gujarati Sugam Sangeet & Children’s Music Courses.
The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan established Jyotisha Bharati, in 1992, by merging the century old renowned Bombay Astrological Society (founded by Shri Jivanrao T. Chitnis, on 18-12-1892, and affiliated to the Bhavan since 1944), with it.
The main objective of Bhavan's Gandhi Institute of Computer Education & Information Technology is to help students in weaker sections of the Society irrespective of caste, creed and religion. The thrust of the programme is to help them become computer literate and secure placment in the job market with full confidence to face the interviewers.
Bhavan’s Hazarimal Somani College of Arts and Science, Shri Manubhai Maneklal Sheth Junior College of Arts & Science and Jayaramdas Patel College of Commerce and Management Studies falls under the umbrella of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan
They are affiliated to the University of Mumbai for courses leading to B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.M.S., B.A.F., M.Sc., M.Com and Ph.D.
