Late Kulapati Dr. Kanaiyalal Maneklal Munshi founded the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in 1938 dedicated to the service of the nation. The primary objectives of this institution are the teaching and promotion of the Sanskrit language and the preservation of Indian culture.
With the object of popularising Sanskrit among the younger generation, the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has been conducting Saral Sanskrit Examinations since 1956, twice a year (in February and September). These examinations are conducted for five graded courses -- Balabodha, Prarambha, Pravesha, Parichaya and Kovida. These examinations are conducted at more than 200 examination centres in India and abroad. So far 22,20,977 students have taken advantage of these examinations (till 2025).
भारतीय विद्या भवन: सरल संस्कृत परीक्षा
परम पूज्य कुलपत डॉ. कन्हैयालाल माणिकलाल मुंशी जी ने राष्ट्र-सेवा के पावन उद्देश्य से वर्ष 1938 में 'भारतीय विद्या भवन' की स्थापना की थी। इस संस्था का मुख्य लक्ष्य संस्कृत भाषा का प्रचार-प्रसार करना और भारतीय संस्कृति का संरक्षण करना है।
वर्ष 1956 में भारतीय विद्या भवन ने सरल-संस्कृत परीक्षाओं का शुभारंभ किया। अब तक लगभग 22,20,977 परीक्षार्थी इन परीक्षाओं में सम्मिलित हो चुके हैं और प्रतिवर्ष छात्रों की संख्या निरंतर बढ़ रही है। सरल संस्कृत परीक्षाओं से संबंधित वर्तमान जानकारी:
परीक्षा परिणाम एवं प्रमाणपत्र:- दिनांक 20 और 21 सितंबर 2025 को आयोजित हुई सरल संस्कृत परीक्षाओं के परिणाम और प्रमाणपत्र भेजे जा चुके हैं।
आगामी परीक्षा:- अगली सरल संस्कृत परीक्षाएँ 21 और 22 फरवरी 2026 को आयोजित की जाएँगी। इन परीक्षाओं के लिए आवेदन पत्र (Application Forms) वर्तमान में भरे जा रहे हैं।

इन परीक्षाओं में पंजीकरण (रजिस्ट्रेशन) कराने के लिए आप भारतीय विद्या भवन द्वारा अधिकृत केंद्रों से संपर्क कर सकते हैं।

Opening A New Centre
The permission for opening a new centre for conducting Bhavan's Saral Sanskrit Examinations is given to schools, educational institutes, and Sanskrit scholars who have the facility of teaching the courses for these examinations.
