A traditional Indian mind discovers holiness in everything and almost everywhere be it a river, ocean, holy place, desert or mountain. For example, Ganga is a holy river that originates at Gomukh in the mountain range of Himalaya and it travels through the length and breadth of India touching and connecting many sacred places of India via Haridwar, Kashi and others to meet the ocean called Sagar sangam in Bengal.
According to the vision of Uday Mazumdar, a singer, composer and music thinker of eminence, the artists presented Vedic chants, praises of nature through folk songs and raga based compositions with the able accompaniment of Vishal Dhumal on key board, Ninad Mulaokar on Flute, Prasad Padhye on tablaa, Vikas Kokate, Babulal Gandharva on Bela bahar, Hemang Mehta on Side rhythm, Digambar Mankar on Handsonic under the expert guidance of conductor singer Shantanu Herlekar.
Rest of the singers of this evening were Upagna Pandya, Hrushikesh Herlekar, Jigar Joshi, Monali Dalvi, Shyam Arya, Yogesh Chikatgaonkar, Ramkrishna Das, Fareed Hassan Khan and Mehboob Hussain Khan, who expertly presented many popular folk musical forms across India in colourful costumes accompanied by relevant dance movements wherever required as the part of the musical form.
