Cultural Outreach Programs are a venture brought together by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru. Initiated in the year 2015, these programs aim at protecting, preserving and promoting India's culture and heritage embedded in performing and visual arts such as dance, music and paintings. The Cultural Outreach Programs help to resurrect and showcase our traditional culture and to revive dying arts.
The Bhavan entered into a MOU with Infosys Foundation in August 2022 to present a seven day cultural festival each year for a period of three years.

Unity in Diversity

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru jointly held a nine day grand cultural festival on the theme of Unity in Diversity between 18 Feb and 26 Feb, 2023 featuring 14 sessions of music, dance, drama, textile show, talks, film history, film music, fine arts competition and panel discussion, etc. at Bhavans auditorium and Gita Mandir Hall, Chowpatty, Mumbai.


Fusion Music & Dance Festival.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru jointly held a seven day cultural festival on the theme of Fusion Music & Dance Festival between 20 January and 26 January, 2024 at Khincha Auditorium, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Race Course Road, Bengaluru-560001.

During the year 2022-2023, cultural festivals were held in eight cities between October 2022 and March 2023. The festival was a grand success and has given a big filip to cultural activities of the Bhavan in these cities. The success of the program prompted several kendras to request for an opportunity to host the festival.
For the year 2023-24, the cities shortlisted for the week long cultural festival are Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur, Pune, Nagpur, Chandigarh, Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata and Bangaluru.

World is One Family

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru jointly held the 2nd Art & Cultural Fest '23 on the theme of World is One Family (वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्) between 16 October and 22 October, 2023 at Chandigarh.

Indian History Through Arts

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru jointly held a Seven Day Cultural Fiesta on the theme of Indian History Through Arts (अतीत के रंग कला के संग ) between 24 December and 29 December, 2023 at Nagpur.

Kavya Nritya Chitra

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru jointly held a week Long Cultural Festival on the theme, Kavya Nritya Chitra between 09 December and 15 December, 2023 at Kolkata.

Contemporary Art Festival

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru jointly held a seven day Contemporary Art Festival between December 09, 2022 and December 15, 2022.

Nisarga Vaibhav

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Hyderabad and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru jointly held a seven day Nisarga Vaibhav Cultural Festival between December 24, 2022 and December 30, 2022.

Festival of Indian Classical Music

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru jointly held a seven day A seven day Cultural Outreach Programme, Festival of Indian Classical Music, between January 04, 2023 and January 10, 2023.

Festival of Dance and Drama

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru jointly held A Seven-Day Mega Festival of Dance and Drama between January 21, 2023 and January 27, 2023.

Samskruthi Darshan

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Indore and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru jointly held A seven-day Cultural & Lifestyles of Indian Tribes, Samskruthi Darshan, between February 27, 2023 and March 05, 2023.

Navarasa

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru jointly held A seven-day Unique Puppet Festival, Navarasa, between March 12, 2023 and March 18, 2023.

THE GOAL

  • Resurrect and revitalize our immortal regional ethos.
  • Promote our hidden classical dances/bhajans/folk-art/Hari-Katha, puppetry etc.
  • Select budding & talented artists with rural background belonging to economically weaker sections of the society.
  • Promote region-specific folk-art and other near extinct arts and popularize it for the future.
  • Help assist young artists to take these as profession.
  • Promote societal harmony, friendliness, peaceful co-existence etc.
