Sit & Draw Competition

On September 24, 2024, Bhavan’s Tripura Teacher Training College organised a ‘Sit & Draw Competition’ for the school children of age group 3-12 years on the occasion of NSS Foundation Day. For the last three consecutive years, the institution has arranged this particular event to pay homage to Late Prof. Kashinath Das, Former Director of Agartala Kendra, on his death anniversary. A total of 232 children coming from different schools of Agartala participated in three categories on three different themes. The top three winners of each group were awarded with certificates and mementos.
A cleanliness drive was followed by the NSS volunteers as a part of the NSS Foundation Day celebration.

Prize Giving Ceremony

Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir, Narsingarh, Agartala, organised on October 3, 2024, the 100th
prize-giving ceremony of Bhavan’s Olympiad Foundation, a dream project of the institution’s former director, the late Kashinath Das. The Minister of Labour of Tripura, Sri Tinku Roy, was the chief guest. Apart from him, a number of honourable principals of different eminent schools of the state, Sri Debasish Chakraborty, retired IFS chairman, and Sri Tapan Lodh, vice chairman of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Agartala Kendra, were present among the honourable dignitaries. As a part of the event, the students of Std. 10 and teachers conducted a food court too.

Hindi Day


Hindi fortnight was celebrated in the school on the occasion of Hindi Day. In this, students from Classes 1 to 12 participated in different types of competitions and impressed everyone with their inspired reading and writing.

Teacher Orientation Programme

A teacher orientation programme on ‘Behavioural Management, Corporal Punishment and Alternative Measures’ was organised by Praxis Learning India (a unit of Gems Educational Books) and conducted by R. P. Dr. Soubhagya Laxmi Dutt, an eminent educationist, councillor and psychologist.

Olympiad Foundation

Bhavan’s Olympiad Foundation successfully completed BCO, BEO, BSO and BMO on August 4, 2024. 7000 students and 32 schools participated, in three centres—Bhavan’s Narsinghar Branch, Bhavan’s Anandanagar Branch and Don Bosco School Udaipur.

NAAC Accreditation

Bhavan’s Tripura College of Teacher Education, Narsingarh, West Tripura, a wing of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tripura has been NAAC Accredited with CGPA of 2.77 on four point scale, with a B++ grade on May 9, 2024.

Cultural Outreach Programme

Agartala Kendra and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru, jointly organised a cultural outreach programme to promote traditional art forms and Indian culture in Muktadhara Auditorium in which four renowned folk singers namely Suparna Debnath, Rupak Malakar, Moutushi Das and Amit Acharjee performed. The programme was highly appreciated by the audience, parents and the students.

Felicitation Programme

On June 28, 2024, Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir organised a Felicitation Programme to felicitate the Board Toppers and the School Toppers of the session 2023-2024 wherein students from Class 3 to Class 12 were felicitated under different categories for their excellence in academics. Guest of Honour was Shri Subhasis Talapatra, Former Hon’ble Chief Justice, Odisha High Court. Chief Guest was Dr. Sabyasachi Nath, Senior Scientific Officer, Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory.
Dr. GV Subramanian, Director, BVB, Kolkata and Agartala Kendra, and Dr. Rajat Dey, Principal, Bhavan’s College of Teacher’s Education, also graced the occasion by their presence. Apart from academic awards, there were some special awards, namely Prof Kashinath Das Memorial Awards which included cash award of Rs. 5000 for Class 12 Board topper, Rs. 5000 for Chemistry topper, Rs. 3000 for Class 10 Board topper, Bhavan’s Merit Awards of Rs. 1500 and Haralal Merit Scholarship of Rs. 1500.

Yuva Vigyani Karyakram

Indian Space Research Organisation organised a special programme for School Children called ‘Young Scientist Programme’ ‘YUva VIgyani KAryakram’, YUVIKA, to impart basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the younger students and emerging trends in space science and technology amongst the youngsters... Special Appreciation to Ritesh Guha Roy for his commendable performance.

Inaugural Ceremony of Saraswati Temple

Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir unveiled its newly constructed Saraswati Temple in a grand inaugural ceremony on February 13, 2024. The ribbon cutting ceremony was conducted by distinguished guest, Swami Budhirupanandaji Maharaj, Vice Principal of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Viveknagar, Agartala, who symbolically inaugurated the temple. He praised the artwork, decorations and all the accessories made by the students.
The inauguration of the Saraswati Temple signifies not only the culmination of a dream but also the beginning of a journey towards enlightenment and knowledge for generations to come.

Saraswati Puja Celebration

The students and staff of Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir came together to celebrate Saraswati Puja, a festival dedicated to the goddess of knowledge, music, arts, and learning on February 14, 2024. The school premises were adorned with colourful decorations. The Saraswati Temple echoed with hymns and chants, as students sought blessings for academic success and intellectual enlightenment.

42nd Agartala Book Fair

The 42nd Agartala Book Fair, organised by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, Government of Tripura, was held from February 21 to March 5, 2024. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Agartala Kendra’s stall was a focal point, offering a diverse collection of books on Indian culture and heritage, philosophy and educational resources.

National Seminar


Bhavan’s Tripura Teacher Training College organised a two-day National Seminar on ‘Emerging Trends in Teacher Education towards Sustainability: a focus on preparing teachers for the new generation’ from March 5–6, 2024. Dr. Deepak Sharma, Registrar, Tripura University was the Chief Guest. Shri Debashis Chakraborty, Chairman, BVB Agartala Kendra, Dr. G V Subramanian, Director, BVB Agartala Kendra, Dr. Lipika Dey, Principal, BTTTC and Dr. Ashis Shil, Asst. Prof, BTTTC were the President, Vice President, Patron and Convener of the seminar respectively. Prof (Dr.) Nil Ratan Roy from Tezpur University and Dr. Tinku De (Gope) from Tripura University were the key resource persons. In two days of the seminar oral presentations of 24 research papers and six poster presentations were put up by the participants.

Free Health Camp

The NSS unit of Bhavan’s Tripura Teacher Training College in collaboration with BTTTC Alumni association conducted a free health camp at Uriya Para, one of the adopted villages in the West Anandanagar Gram Panchayat on February 23, 2024. Many villagers, especially senior citizens, took the benefit of this health camp and also received free medicines. On February 21, 2024 BTTTC celebrated International Mother Language Day with a colourful cultural programme where students regaled the audience with recitations, songs and speeches. 
BTTTC collected an amount of Rs. 40,105/- from teachers, staff and students for one of its former students, Pritam Debnath, who suffers from a critical stomach ulcer. The money was handed over to his family for his medical treatment.
