Budding Author

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organised the CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2023-24 for Std. V to X. The story ‘Sab Moh Maya Hai’ by Nimisha Chaudhary of Std. IX from Bhavan’s Vidyashram was selected as the winning one.

Honours and Accolades

Smt. Suman Singh (TGT Science) received the Vriksha Mitra Award from Governor Shree Kalraj Mishra. This event was organised by Shree Kalpataru Sansthan on June 16, 2024 at the State Institute of Agriculture Management, Durgapura, Jaipur. She received this award for her sincere efforts in caring for the environment by planting trees and looking after them.
Dr. Alok Sharma, TGT Mathematics, had his papers published in the official journal of The Indian Patent Office, Government of India. The title of the inventions were:
1. Device to Detect Happiness of Teacher Using Learning
2. The Role of Machine Learning in Predicting Positive Emotions at Work: Impact on Teachers’ Job Satisfaction and Well-being

Startup (Kalpurze)

Shaurya Choudhary’s (Std. XI) startup ‘Kalpurze’ has been chosen by Niti Aayog for the SDG Entrepreneurs of India book.

International Yoga Day Celebration

BVB Vidyashram, K. M. Munshi Marg, Jaipur celebrated International Yoga Day on the school grounds with students, parents and staff. The Chief Guest of the event was Shri Shastri Kosalendra Das. In his address, the Chief Guest emphasised the importance of Yoga in our lives and highlighted the significance of Yoga in achieving holistic well-being. Following the address, the programme transitioned into a practical session of Yoga asanas. Parents, students and teachers enthusiastically participated in practising various yoga asanas, under the guidance of the instructor Shri Girish Sharma who simultaneously explained the benefits of each pose.
The session further delved into the practice of Vipassana meditation wherein the participants were guided on the techniques to cultivate mindfulness and inner calm.

District Swimming Championship

The BVB Vidyashram swimming team made a splash at the Sub Junior, Junior, and Senior District Swimming Championship held at SMS Stadium from June 8-10, 2024. The swimmers clinched a stunning 61 gold, 42 silver, and 7 bronze medals, securing the Overall Championship in all categories.
Praniti Choudhary won Best Swimmer Award in the State Junior Swimming Championship. She bagged seven gold and one silver medal.

Table Tennis and Tennis Triumphs

Tushar Ramchandani secured 2nd position in the Youth Boys U-15 event at the Rajasthan State Ranking Table Tennis Championship, held at SAI Centre, Sports Board of University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
Ashwin Chillar won the U-16 title and was the runner-up in the U-18 category at the AITA Championship Series 7 held in Sonepat.

Sakina Hasan of Class 8 secured First Position at the district level in the Drawing Competition PANCHTATWA held on World Environment Day on June 5, 2024. The event was organised by Lalit Kala Academy and Orion Greens.

MOU Signing Ceremony

Ms. Preeti Sangwan, Principal, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram, K.M. Munshi Marg, Jaipur, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Delphic Council of Rajasthan on May 3, 2024. It is a registered society and functions under the aegis of the International Delphi Council and Indian Delphi Council. Its aim is to promote art and culture among the youth of the state. The event witnessed the participation of prominent figures like Shri Jeetendra Kumar Soni (IAS), along with representatives from Vidyashram School and other notable schools, marking a significant stride in promoting cultural expression among the youth of Rajasthan. Under this initiative, a Delphic Club will be formed in the school to promote six Delphic arts: Classical Music, Indian Film Music, Folk Music, Classical Dance, Folk Dance, Contemporary Dance and Photography.

Literature Festival

Bhavan Vidyashram, K. M. Munshi Marg, Jaipur organised ‘Pustak Se’, the Vidyashram Literature Festival on May 8 and 9, 2024. This two-day long festival focused on enhancing literary skills among students by providing them exposure and opportunities to interact with renowned authors and writers.
In the opening session, writers Era Tak and Tabeenah Anjum discussed the nuances of writing with adolescents. The afternoon session was on the journey of Indian literature with special reference to Shrimad Bhagavad Gita conducted by Shri Manoj Kumar Sharma, noted author and retired IAS. He enlightened students about the teachings of the Gita. On May 9, Dr. Vandana Sharma and Dr. Samridhi Sharma, TGT (Hindi) of the school conducted a session on Nirgun Bhakti in Sant Kabir’s teachings. The speakers brought out the timeless relevance of Kabir’s message, showing how his calls for social reform and spiritual awakening continue to inspire and resonate in contemporary times. Through engaging narratives and thoughtful analyses, the attendees gained a deeper appreciation for Kabir’s enduring legacy in literature, spirituality, and social thought.
The concluding session of the literary fest on May 9, witnessed a mesmerising performance of Kabir Bhajans by Babulal Bhat and party. This soulful event was organised under the Infosys Outreach programme by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Jaipur Kendra.

Orientation Sessions

The school organised orientation sessions for Classes 2–11 on different days, ensuring comfortable transition of students. In all sessions, Ms. Preeti Sangwan, Principal, BVB Vidyashram, apprised parents about school policies, pedagogies, scholastic and co-scholastic activities, career avenues, and new initiatives undertaken by the school for holistic development of children. For the Class 11 orientation session on April 20, two resource persons, Mr. Shariq Khan, Manager IDP Education and Dr. Luvdeep Dogra, Transplant Team Leader, Manipal Hospital, Jaipur were invited. Mr. Khan answered queries related to studying abroad. Dr. Dogra, an alumnus of the 2006 batch, shared his views on choosing an appropriate career and pursuing it. All orientation programmes were appreciated and applauded by the parent community.

Investiture Ceremony

The Investiture Ceremony of the school ceremonials and prefectorial council was organised on April 30, 2024 in Maharana Pratap Auditorium. The Oath of Office was administered to the house prefects of all four houses. The Principal, in a stirring address, called upon the Ceremonial Heads and Council Members to uphold the esteemed principles of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, emphasising the importance of integrity, dedication, and leadership. Head Girl Sanchi Karnawat and Head Boy Vedant Hada expressed their heartfelt gratitude and assured the school community of their commitment to performing their duties with utmost sincerity. The ceremony, marked by a sense of pride and responsibility, concluded with a collective pledge to contribute positively to the school’s legacy.

Earth Day Celebrations

On Earth Day, April 22, 2024, the students of Class 7 moved on a journey towards environmental stewardship at Smriti Van, a local park in Jaipur. This visit was organised by the Nagar Nigam team. The day commenced with an enlightening play, showcasing the importance of environmental conservation and the impact of collective efforts in preserving our planet. The students, filled with enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility, actively participated in the clean-up activities aimed at restoring the beauty of the park’s surroundings. Through their collective efforts, they not only cleaned the area but also fostered a deeper understanding of the significance of maintaining cleanliness and working collaboratively as a community. Arshdeep Brar, the esteemed Deputy Commissioner of the Nagar Nigam, graced the event with her presence. In sync with the earth day celebration, students of Classes 6–8 participated in Maati Utsav organised by Bal Bhawan, Jaipur. Students took part in Pottery Making and Clay Modelling Workshops, exploring creativity and learning new techniques. Maati Utsav emphasised the significance of Earth Day and promoted environmental consciousness among students.

Inter School English Debate

Bhavan Vidyashram organised the Annual Inter School English Debate on May 2, 2024 for the students of Classes 9 to 12 in Maharana Pratap Auditorium in collaboration with The Hindu Ethical Horizons Inter School English Debate. The participants from various schools in Rajasthan debated on topics like: ‘We should be worried about AI-induced job loss’, ‘One nation one election is a catalyst for building an egalitarian society’ and ‘Development and implementation of AI should be strictly regulated’. The Chief Guest was Brigadier Dr. Mukul Pant. The judges of the competition were Dr. Sunita Agarwal, Chairperson, Department of English & Library Science, University of Rajasthan and Mr. Sunny Sebastian, Former Vice-Chancellor of Haridev Joshi University of Journalism and Mass Communication. The debaters presented their ideas eloquently and also handled the rebuttal with confidence exhibiting their critical thinking skills and presence of mind. The winner’s trophy was shared by Delhi Public School, Jodhpur and Jayshree Periwal High School, Jaipur.

Faculty Development Programme

Bhavan Vidyashram organised a Faculty Development Programme from May 14 to May 16, 2024, aiming to acquaint faculty members with latest teaching strategies, methodologies, tools, various skills. Details of the sessions are as follows:-Day - 1 - 14.05.2024
Session -1 was on School Mental Health conducted by well-known psychiatrist, Dr.Shiv Gautam.
Session -2 was on ‘Key Principles of Assessment’ conducted by one of the faculty members, Ms Akshini Bhatnagar, TGT (Mathematics).
Session for Primary teachers was conducted by the Coordinator, Smt. Charu Misra.
Academic Coordinator, Primary Section, Smt. Urvika Shivran
shared a few examples of tasks with clear objectives which involve learning process and give opportunities to students to demonstrate their critical thinking and communication skills.
Day - 2 - 15.05.2024 The workshop for Science and Maths teachers in collaboration with Indian Development Foundation was conducted in the school auditorium. About 150 teachers from various schools participated in the workshop.
Prof. A.P. Jayaraman, Nuclear Scientist conducted the first session on Ignite STEM Passion. Dr Rakesh Sharma discussed the importance of Green Chemistry in second session of the workshop. In the third session, a video message was presented by Prof David Polya and Dr Laura Richard from Manchester University, UK. The fourth session was centred on “A doctor’s prescription for teachers” by Dr Taru Jindal, from Mumbai.
A demonstration of Robotic Training Kit was organised, by Hugh Kim from South Korea and Mr. Roshin John from Ed Tech Evangelist Techno Skool, Bengaluru.
Reading Session on Comprehension & Fluency for English faculty was conducted by a well-known personality, Ms Prabha Kishore in Sr. Computer Lab.
Day - 3 - 16.05.2024
The day began with a session on Positive and Inspirational Behaviour by the Resource Person- Prof. Ramesh K Arora, an eminent educationist and motivational speaker.
Session 2 was on the “Role of Teachers in Personality Development” for the primary school teachers. The Resource person, Dr. Nisha Jain Grover, well-known psychologist took a session to improve teaching skills, build resilience and techniques to upraise professionalism.

Spring Workshops

Suruchi Kendra organised Spring Workshops for the age groups 4 years and above in different disciplines. For the first time, very young Balwadi students were involved in theatre activities in the workshop PLAY N ACT. Almost 25 students participated and presented a short skit for their parents on the last day. Nearly 200 students and others participated with great enthusiasm.

Celebrations Galore

BVB Vidyashram, K.M. Munshi Marg, Jaipur celebrates the remarkable journey of Pururaaj Solanki, a cherished alumnus and a proud IIT Mumbai graduate, who has been selected for Indian Administrative Services.
He is a shining example of dedication, passion, devotion and dedication. Pururaj’s achievement inspires peers to reach for stars, to embrace challenges with courage and never lose sight of a dream.
Yashneil Rawat from Class 12 (2023-24) achieved an exceptional feat in the JEE Main 2024 exam by securing a perfect 100 percentile, earning him the esteemed All India Rank 45 and clinching the top spot in Rajasthan as State Rank 1. His humility and thirst for knowledge truly embody the spirit of a Bhavanite.

Nehal Grover, Class 9 and Nakshatra Garg, Class 8, qualified among the Top 100 Science Talents, shortlisted through the National Science Promotion Oriented Test (SPOT) - 2023-24 conducted by the Vikram Sarabhai Science Foundation (VSSF). This achievement is the result of the students’ hard work, passion and eagerness to learn science.

Conversation with an Icon

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram, K.M. Munshi Marg, Jaipur, organised an event called Spotlight: Conversation with the Icon— Dr. Rajendra Singh, Waterman of India on April 24, 2024 in the school auditorium.
Dr. Singh shared anecdotes from his journey, emphasising the importance of community involvement and indigenous wisdom in tackling water scarcity. He gave invaluable lessons on the importance of preserving nature’s bounty and urged the young minds to become ambassadors of change in their communities. As an environmentalist and water conservationist, Dr. Singh’s work has left an indelible mark on India’s landscape, making him a beacon of inspiration for generations to come.

Competency Based Assessment

Bhavan Vidyashram, K. M. Munshi Marg, Jaipur hosted a two-day Capacity Building Programme on Competency Based Assessment (Secondary Level)— English under the aegis of Centre of Excellence, CBSE on April 24 and 25, 2024. The training programme focused on managing the well-being and mental health of students and bringing about desirable changes in their behaviour.
The programme culminated with the framing of appropriate questions for assessment that stimulate thinking and develop higher order thinking skills, strategies and habits. Most importantly, it improves teaching and learning methods and informs education policy decisions.

Visitors from Germany

A group of 13 students and two teachers from St. Kilian School, Heilbronn, Germany, visited Bhavan Vidyashram, K.M. Munshi Marg, Jaipur from April 10 to 17, 2024 as part of an Indo-German Exchange Programme.
During the visit, the group was introduced to the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan through various hands-on activities like Mandana Art, Rajasthani Gourmet, Rajasthani Cuisine, Yoga, Indian Music, Dance and Musical Instrument—Tabla.
Students and teachers stayed with the host students and teachers to have a closer look at the Rajasthani tradition and culture. The group visited various archaeological sites viz. Jaigarh Fort, Amber Fort, Albert Hall Museum and Hawa Mahal.
The reciprocal visit of BVB Vidyashram to St. Kilian School, will be organised in October 2024.

Rajasthan Vigyan Mahotsav Winners

The project prepared by Kanishk Verma and Nehal Grover on ‘Smart Heart: Your Raksha Kavach’ won the 3rd prize in Rajasthan Vigyan Mahotsav on National Science Day 2024. The event was organised by the Department of Science & Technology, Rajasthan, Vigyan Bharat Rajasthan, CSIR-CEERI, Pilani and University of Rajasthan from February 27 to 28, 2024.


Khajuraho Dance Festival


In a breathtaking display of talent and unity, two esteemed dance faculty members of Bhavan Vidyashram Jaipur, Smt. Rekha Sain and Smt. Nidhi Bhatt, performed Kathak at the 50th Khajuraho Dance Festival which was hosted by the Department of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh. This prestigious event witnessed a remarkable feat—a Guinness World Record for the longest Kathak dance performance involving a staggering 1484 participants.  The mesmerising performance lasted a remarkable 16 minutes, showcasing the exquisite artistry and dedication of the dancers. 


Karate Champions

Bhavan Vidyashram, Jaipur’s karate team emerged triumphant at the 20th Jaipur Karate Championship, hosted by the Rajasthan Karate Association in collaboration with the Oriental Martial Art Academy, Jaipur by clinching a total of 10 medals.
Deshna Kabra (Class 3) showcased exceptional talent by securing two gold medals. Bhavik Goyal (Class 7) also won two gold medals. Ritvi Sharma (Class 6) won a gold and silver medal.
Hitakshi Agarwal (Class 3) and Dishita Rawat (Class 8) won two bronzes each, while Shreyansh Kanwaria (Class 8) also won a bronze.


Art Exhibition

Bhavan Vidyashram, Jaipur, hosted an enchanting art exhibition titled ‘Creativity is Magic Think Like an Artist’ on February 24, 2024. The event aimed to celebrate the boundless creativity and imagination of students from Classes 1 to 5.  A captivating array of paintings and drawings adorned the exhibition hall, showcasing the artistic prowess of the young participants.


Chess

Tejas Joshi of Std.4 participated as a team member for Apex Hospital team at the Doctor’s Chess League 4th Edition, held at Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital from January 20–21, 2024. Team Apex hospital were 1strunner-ups. Tejas contributed 3.5 points to the team.


INTACH Club

To nurture cultural understanding, care and concern amongst school children INTACH Filmit organised a film-making competition on Heritage under various categories. Three films made by the students got awarded as following:

  1. Gatore ki Chatariya—Best Narration.
  2. Dangarthal—Most Unique Film.
  3. FRI—Forest Research Institute, Dehradun—Best Screenplay.
  4. The movie Lassi Wala made by Vidyashram students was also screened at the film festival at the Palace School.

Basant Panchami Celebration

On February 14, 2024, Bhavan Vidyashram, Jaipur celebrated Saraswati Puja with great fervour and devotion. The day commenced with the auspicious Maa Saraswati puja performed at the Saraswati Temple within the school premises. Students, adorned in traditional attire, gathered to seek the blessings of the goddess.
As part of the ritual, a sacred havan was conducted and students actively participated in the ceremony, offering prayers for academic success and enlightenment.


Mathematics Model Making Competition

The best way to predict the future is to design for it. The school organised a Mathematics Model Making Competition for Classes 6 to 8 on February 23, 2024. The aim of the activity was to motivate, and create interest in the subject. The students exhibited their skills in presenting their models like Trigonometric Park, Robotic compasses, Geo board etc. They also showed the use of Mathematics in daily life through models. Almost 60 students participated in the exhibition.


Grandparents’ Day

Students embarked on a heartwarming journey of gratitude and love as they celebrated Grandparents’ Day.  This three-day event was a testament to the cherished bond between grandchildren and their grandparents featuring myriad activities like show your talent, challenge your memory, just a minute games, craft activities and performances by students.

Triumphs in INSPIRE Manak Award 2023-24

Rachit Agarwal (Std. 8) and Bharat Sharma (Std. 10) of Bhavan’s Vidyashram, K.M. Munshi Marg, Jaipur, triumphed in the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Manak Award 2023-24 instituted by the Department of Science and Technology, under the aegis of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The students won certificates and a prize of Rs.10,000 (each) and will be participating at the state level.

CBSE Ganit Challenge Aryabhatta

Three students of Std. 10 from Bhavan Vidyashram (Jaipur), Aradhya Goyal, Aryan Saxena and Ekagrah Agarwal, cleared the second level of CBSE Ganit Challenge Aryabhatta. These students are amongst the topm100 in CBSE of Ajmer region.

Ashirvachanam Ceremony


The Ashirvachanam Ceremony (send-off) of Std. 12 was organised by Bhavan’s Vidyashram on February 9, 2024. Dr. Narendra Sharma ‘Kusum’ of Jaipur graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, adding significance to the event.
Amidst the resonance of the School Band, the procession included all Std. 12 students and teachers, symbolising unity and camaraderie. The event commenced with Ganesh Vandana and the School prayer, invoking blessings for the journey ahead.
Citations highlighting the achievements, talents and strengths of the students were eloquently presented by the Class Teachers, illuminating the dedication and efforts of each student. In a solemn moment, the Principal and Vice-Principal brought forth the holy light from Maa Saraswati’s temple, symbolising wisdom and enlightenment. This light was then shared with the students, igniting lamps as a metaphor for guiding their paths ahead.
The Chief Guest blessed the students, inspiring them to fulfil the aspirations of their parents and teachers.
Following the Tilak anointment, students received tokens of appreciation from the Chief Guest, symbolising the recognition of their journey and potential.

JEE Mains – 2024 Examination

Seven students of Bhavan’s Vidyashram, Yashneel Rawat, Manit Bansal, Japneet Singh Kohli, Akshita Vinit Dixit, Vidit Agarwal, Laveena Jain and Monisha Bangar, achieved an exceptional feat by securing more than 99 percentile in the JEE Mains – 2024 examination.

Vayu Sena Medal

Squadron Leader Nikita Malhotra, an alumna of Bhavan Vidyashram, K.M. Munshi Marg, Jaipur, from the Batch of 2010 was honoured with the prestigious Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry) by the President of India on the momentous occasion of the 75th Republic Day on January 26, 2024.
The Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry) is a testament to her outstanding contribution to the defence of our country and this remarkable achievement is an evidence of her exceptional courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to duty. Her
achievement is a source of inspiration for current and future generations of students, reminding of the importance of selfless service and unwavering commitment to the greater good.

75th Republic Day Celebration


Bhavan Vidyashram, K. M. Munshi Marg, Jaipur celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm at the school ground, on the same day, the school organised its 39th Annual Sports Day.
Shri V.C. Surana, Chairman, Bhavan’s Jaipur Kendra was the Chief Guest of the day and the programme began with the unfurling of the National Flag.
Alumnae of the school—Ms. Manini Kaushik, Silver Medalist Asian Games 2023 and Ms. Surbhi Misra, Coach Indian Squash Team Asian Games 2023 were the Guests of Honour for the programme.
The Pom Pom Drill, Aerobics and Yoga display by Primary students mesmerised the audience. Senior section students presented a synchronised display of Karate. The races that were organised on the day were received with cheering and tons of encouragement for the budding sports stars.
The Sports Blazer for the year 2023-24 was awarded to National Swimmer Vasundhara Rajeshwari. Nilgiri House and Vindhyachal House both stood First in the March Past, whereas Nilgiri House became the overall Champion.
Ms. Manini Kaushik, the recipient of Silver Medal in the 50 Meter Rifle 3 P Team Shooting Event at Asian Games—2023 inspired the current students and asked them to chase their passion with full dedication & commitment.
Ms. Surbhi Misra, the Squash Coach at Asian Games—2023 also encouraged the students to pursue the game of their choice with full devotion, dedication and determination.

Dimdima’s Coveted Pancharatna Award

Aditi Saxena, student of Grade VIII of Bhavan’s Vidyashram, Jaipur, was awarded the ‘Pancharatna Award’ by ‘Dimdima’, the Bhavan’s monthly magazine for children. She was awarded a Cash Prize of Rs. 1000/- and her painting was published in the November 2023 issue of the magazine.

Celebrating Mahasweta Devi’s Birth Anniversary

The students at B.V.B. Vidyashram Pratap Nagar organised a special celebration to commemorate the birthday of the esteemed literary figure, Mahasweta Devi. The event not only paid tribute to her remarkable life and achievements but also showcased the profound impact her works have had on society.
The celebration began with a small skit, wherein children represented key moments from Mahasweta Devi’s life. Following the skit, students took the stage to present stories written by Mahasweta Devi to appreciate the depth and breadth of her work.
In addition to the literary presentations, students shared insights into how society has benefited from Mahasweta Devi’s impactful contributions. They highlighted her role in bringing attention to the plight of the tribal communities, exposing social injustices, and advocating for the rights of the oppressed.

Annual Day

Bhavan’s Vidyashram, Jaipur, celebrated its 39th Annual Day on December 20, 2023.
The Chief Guest Dr. K.K. Pathak, appreciated the efforts of the participants unequivocally and emphasised on the need for the multi-faceted development of children.
The students presented spectacular display of co-ordinated and synchronised moves in the cultural programme.
The Dance drama ‘Mann ke Mausam’ depicting the co-relation of human emotions and the changing seasons weaved a heart-warming tale of man and nature with the symphony of dance, drama and music. Keeping up with the theme, budding singers of the primary section presented the ‘Song of the Seasons’ in fusion with Indian classical music. Tabla Recital was yet another highlight of the programme, wherein the nimble fingers of promising tabla players created a magic of taal and rhythm.

Tabla Darbar Triumph

The school’s Maestros participated in a rhythmic extravaganza that resonated through Gwalior on December 25, 2023. Bhavan’s Vidyashram’s talented tabla players showcased their prowess at the prestigious Tabla Darbar event. The event witnessed a staggering gathering of more than 1300 Tabla enthusiasts, creating a harmonious symphony of beats and melodies. The event’s inclusion in the Guinness World Records serves as a testament to the collective talent and spirit that the school fosters.

SGFI National Swimming Championship

Ten exceptional swimmers from Bhavan’s Vidyashram, Jaipur, have been selected to represent their school at the prestigious SGFI National Swimming Championship. Krishnaditya Singh, Sahil Gupta, Tanishq Sharma, Gaurang Modi, Gagan Meena, Praniti Singh Choudhary, Enika Agrawal, Prisha Sharma, Dakshina Joshi and Serena Agrawal have earned their spots to compete in the under 19, 17, and 14 Boys and Girls categories. This outstanding achievement not only showcases the talent and dedication of these young athletes but also sets a record for the maximum number of swimmers selected from a single school for the SGFI National Swimming Championship.

Winter Workshop Activities

Suruchi Kendra, the cultural centre of Bhavan’s Jaipur Kendra, organised short workshops in Pottery, Portrait-Making and Origami during the winter break.
In the terracotta pot and pottery workshop, the participants were exposed to the potter’s wheel and clay sculpture. They created small planters and used their creativity to give them a different design. The participants also prepared a few sculptures of clay using their imagination.
In the portrait-making workshop, the students learnt the basics of portrait-making and made good portraits. In the origami workshop, the art of creating various objects by paper-folding was taught. The students created flowers and animals using colourful origami paper.

Photography Competition

Aaruni Choudhary of Class 12 stood 3rd in ‘Capture the Moon’ Astro Photography Competition which was a part of Chandrayan Utsav, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Swimming



Hriday Bhojwani won a Bronze Medal in 50m Butterfly Stroke Boys U-11 Event in CBSE National Swimming Championship.
Krishnaditya Singh secured 17th Rank in the 37th National Games held at Goa.
In the CBSE National Swimming Championship the school swimming team comprising Hriday Bhojwani, Paranjay Singh Choudhary, Divit Sharma, Parin Sharma and Medhansh Tyagi won the Bronze medal in the 4 x 50 metres Medley Relay.

CLAT Rank Holders - 2023



Three from the students’ batch of 2023-24 of Bhavan’s Vidyashram, Jaipur, secured remarkable positions in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)-2023.


Lawn Tennis



Kushagra Jangid (Class 6) won the Gold Medal in the SFA Championship, 2023. He was Runner-Up in the U-14 Boys Open Tournament organised in the Grass field Club, Jaipur. His current ranking in the AITA Under-12 category is 233. Ashwin Chhillar was in the 6th position in the Wavin Asian Junior Ranking Tennis Championship organised by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Gwalior Chambal Tennis Association. He won the AITA National Ranking Tournament C 57 under-16 (Doubles) held at Dream House Resort Tennis Academy, Jaipur, on November 20, 2023.


Chess Tournament



Uday Shekhar Sharma (Class 6) won a Gold Medal in the State Chess Tournament. He was also the winner at the District Tournament and was placed 11th in the Mukesh Memorial Open Rapid Chess Tournament 2023 which was organised by Radhe Foundation.


Table Tennis



Tushar Ramchandani (Class 8) stood 2nd in the Rajasthan State Ranking Table Tennis Championship 2023 organised by the Jaipur District Table Tennis Association in the Youth Boys U-13 Category. He stood 1st in the 67th SGFI State level Tennis Tournament organised at Badisadri. In the CBSE Cluster Table Tennis Tournament organised at Ajmer, the school team comprising Tushar Ramchandani, Samridh Bagda and Yuvan Bakiwala won a Gold Medal in the U-14 Category. In the U-17 category, the school team comprising Yash Joshi, Neil Ramchandani and Daksh Kala won a Silver Medal. Both the teams represented their state in the CBSE National Tournament also. In the individual event, Tushar Ramchandani won a Silver Medal in the U-14 category. Yash Joshi won a Bronze Medal in the U-17 category.


World Aids Day



On December 1, 2023, a multitude of activities took place at Bhavan’s Vidyashram in observance of World AIDS Day. One highlight was a Slogan Writing Event, where students created impactful slogans on AIDS to raise awareness about the disease.
Students of Class 11, in collaboration with the Community Outreach Club, played a pivotal role by organising the creation and distribution of red ribbons. These ribbons, symbolising support for AIDS patients, were distributed to teachers, who were kindly urged to display them as a visible demonstration of their solidarity with the AIDS awareness campaign.
In an effort to educate and inform people, an insightful talk on AIDS titled, ‘Breaking the Stigma: Embracing Positivity in the Face of AIDS’ was broadcasted on the school’s Spotify channel, Bhavan’s Vani. This initiative aimed to disseminate crucial information and encourage open dialogue about AIDS, fostering a more informed and compassionate school community.
In addition to these activities, intra-class quiz sessions were conducted across senior classes, providing an engaging platform for students to test their knowledge on AIDS-related topics. Furthermore, case studies were discussed, offering a practical and insightful perspective on the challenges faced by those affected by the disease.




Jaipur Kendra

‘Dharti Dhora Ri - Rhythms of Desert’

Jaipur Kendra, in collaboration with Infosys Foundation, organised a week-long cultural festival, ‘Dharti Dhora Ri—Rhythms of Desert’, from November 16 to 22, 2023 in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram, KM Munshi Marg. The event, featuring folk art workshops, was inaugurated by Smt. Jayshree Periwal, offering immersive experience in traditional art forms.
Dr. Nagalaxmi Rao, the Joint Director Bhavan’s Bengaluru Kendra, and Ms. Asha Golecha, Chairperson, Infosys Cultural Outreach Programme, also attended the ceremony. The cultural evenings at Maharana Pratap Auditorium showcased Rajasthan’s diverse cultural landscape. It was graced by Shri K. G. Raghvan, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru Kendra, as the Chief Guest. The students of Vidyashram also presented scintillating dance and music performances.
