In Service Training Programme for Teachers

A 3-day Teacher In-Service Training Programme was conducted at Bhavan’s
Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati, on June 6-7, 2023. The session was presided over by Prof. P. Murali, Vice-Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra, who initiated the meeting by sharing insightful quotes from renowned thinkers and philosophers.
In his Presidential Address, Prof. P. Murali highlighted how India is steadily emerging as a global superpower and the main objective of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is not only to foster intellectual growth but also to instil ethical and human values among students.
Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director and Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra, delved into the qualities of a good teacher, emphasising the significance of imparting holistic education that nurtures character, wisdom and values in students.
The First session of the event was presented by Prof V.N. Sampangi Venkata Narayana and his team on the Scientific Research on Transcendental Meditation.
Sri Nagaraj, Secretary, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, emphasised the significance of Transcendental meditation in the realms of Science and Creative Intelligence through an enlightening power point presentation.
In Session 2, Sri Arun L. Naik, a distinguished speaker from Azim Premji University, shared insights on the essentiality of Teacher Professional Development in the context of a rapidly changing world. Moreover, he also highlighted the importance of teachers adopting a reflective practitioner approach, continuously evaluating and refining their teaching practices.
On the second day, June 7, 2023, Sri Ramnath, Consultant, Azim Premji University, held a discussion-based session on Leadership Perspectives. Leadership involves being mindful of one’s own surroundings and circumstances, as well as having the capacity to influence the thoughts and behaviour of others. Regarding educators, Sri Ramnath emphasised that they should embrace inter-dependence and foster collaboration, moving beyond mere co-operation. Furthermore, a teacher should have a purpose of continuous improvement, strive for mastery that ultimately leads to autonomy.

Career Guidance Programme

A Career Guidance Programme was conducted for the students of the senior secondary classes on July 15, 2023, which aimed at helping students make informed decisions and gain clarity regarding their career choices, with special focus on CLAT and IPMAT. Dr Prasad Telikicherla, founder and promoter of Logicminds was the resource person. He explained the process of getting into National Law Universities.
Providing some valuable tips for exam preparation, he advised the students to create a study schedule, set realistic goals and maintain consistency. He stressed upon the need to stay motivated.
Besides this, he also elaborated on the unique features of various premium educational institutions offering the courses, by providing insights into their academic curricula, faculty expertise, industry collaborations, and placement records to help the students gain better understanding and to make the right choice.
Overall, the programme provided the participants with valuable insights and resources to plan and pursue their desired career paths.

Gurupoornima Celebrations

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya celebrated Gurupoornima on July 3, 2023. 
The day's Chief Guest, Prof. K. Ganapathi Bhat, Department of Advaitha Vedantha, National Sanskrit University, Tirupati, imparted valuable advice to students, emphasising the importance of maintaining an open mind and cultivating a spirit of curiosity. Discussing the qualities of the students, the Guest emphasised the significance of courage and the continuous development of intelligence, which empowers them to achieve success in various endeavours.

Teachers' Day

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Shri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati celebrated Teachers' Day with great pomp and enthusiasm. Speaking on this occasion, Dr.N.Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director and Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati congratulated all the teachers and briefed the students about Shri Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and urged them to follow his noble path and work for the prosperity of the nation. Cultural programmes were presented by the students.

Tirupati Athletic Championship - 2022

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati organised the 4th Tirupati Athletic Championship on August 13, 2022 on the school premises.
About 400 athletes from 19 schools participated in the 100 m, 200 m, 400 m relay, discus throw, shot put and many more events.
The winners and participants were awarded medals and certificates by Chief Guest Prof. K. N. Satyanarayana, Director, Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati and the Guest of Honour Sri T. V. Subramanyam, Principal, B. V. Reddy Senior Secondary School, Chittoor.
The Individual Championship for Junior Girls was won by P. Anusha Reddy of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The Senior Girls' individual championship went to G. Pooja Sree of Edify School. The Individual Championship for Junior Boys was won by Rathna Teja of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, while M. Viswesh of BVB won the Individual Championship for Senior Boys. The Tirupati Athletic Championship Winners' Trophy was lifted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati and Runners-up trophy went to Accord School, Chiguruwada.

Sravana Sangeetha Lahiri -“ 2022

Sravana Sangeetha Lahari-” Amalgamation of Music & Dance -”was conducted on August 16, 2022 on the school premises. This year the students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan offered their prayers in glory of Sri Adisankaracharya on the theme 'Shri Shankaracharya Vaibhavam'.
The programme commenced initially with Bhavan's prayer followed by lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Prof. K. Raja Reddy, Vice Chancellor, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Dr. V. Bhaskara Sai Krishna Yachendra, Chairman, S.V.B.C. and renowned writer and musician, Dr. N. Satyanarayana, Hon. Director & Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra and Chairman, School Managing Committee and Smt. S. Indira, Principal. The 27th Edition of the school magazine 'Darpan-2022' was released by the dignitaries.
As a tradition of felicitating the musicians during the Sravana Sangeetha Lahari, this year the renowned Gayavadhani was felicitated by the Director and the Bhavan's Executive Committee Members and other dignitaries.

Apex Body Investiture Ceremony

To inculcate leadership qualities, a sense of responsibility and discipline among students, The Apex Body Investiture Ceremony was held by Bhavan's Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati, on July 6, 2022.
The Chief Guest for the event was Sri P. Parameswara Reddy, I.P.S., Superintendent of Police, Tirupati District. The Apex Body members were bestowed with sashes and badges by the Chief Guest and were administered with an oath.
This programme was graced by the Bhavan's Executive Committee Members, Vice Principals, teachers, parents and students.

8th International Day of Yoga Celebrations

Bhavan's Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati celebrated the 8th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2022 with the theme 'Yoga for Humanity' focusing on the importance of Yoga in everyone's life.
A YouTube album titled Pancha Tatvalu -” Mudralu, created by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, in collaboration with Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, was launched by the Chief Guest, Swami Sukrutanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati, the Guest of Honour, Prof. D. Narayana Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor, S.R.M. University, Andhra Pradesh, and Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director & Treasurer, Tirupati Kendra.

Au Revoir

A farewell function was held for the students of Class 12 (4th batch) on April 21, 2022 in the school auditorium.
The day's programme began with the Bhavan's prayer and lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.
Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director & Treasurer, in his address wished good luck to the outgoing students and advised them to imbibe good qualities, have a positive outlook, inculcate book reading and change their attitude.
Smt. S. Indira, Principal, in her address, encouraged students to look forward without stepping back and suggested that students should follow the path of righteousness and keep up their identity, not surrendering themselves to the worst situations and become a person of values rather than a person of success.
Mementos were presented and a few students shared their reminiscences of school and the teachers. This was followed by a cultural programme.

A Proud Moment

Bhavan's Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati's two-member team secured the second position in the State finals of the Fit India Quiz conducted by the Ministry of Youth & Sports.
Master G. Ashwin of Grade XI (M.Bi.P.C.) and Master D. Nikhil Doddaga of Grade XII (M.P.C.) qualified in the initial preliminary round, receiving a cash prize of Rs.15,000/- for the school and Rs.2,000/- for the participants. The final round was held online on March 17.
The school received a cash award of Rs.1,15,000/- while the students received a cash award of Rs.6,000/- each as a token of appreciation from the Ministry of Youth & Sports.
