Bhavan’s Tirupati Kendra celebrated the birth anniversary of Mahavatar Babaji, revered globally as ‘The Divine Himalayan Yogi’. The event was organised with devotion and enthusiasm, highlighting the spiritual legacy and teachings of the great master.
Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Honorary Director and Treasurer of the Kendra, addressed the gathering and spoke about the life and significance of Shri Mahavatar Babaji.
As a part of the programme, students of Class VIII recited selected shlokas from the Bhagavad Gita related to Kriya Yoga and explained their meanings with clarity and confidence, adding a thoughtful and spiritual dimension to the event.

Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati celebrated Guru Poornima with great enthusiasm and reverence on July 10, 2025. The event began with the Bhavan’s prayer and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by esteemed guests,

The day’s Chief Guest in his speech, enumerated the pivotal role of Guru in transforming an individual into an idealistic and noble soul. He advised the students to draw inspiration from the lives of Sri Ramakrishna Pramahamsa and Swami Vivekananda and urged the students to respect their parents and teachers.
The cultural programme featured a song, a speech and recital of Vedavyasa Stuthi by the students.
Sravana Sangeetha Lahari 2025

Sravana Sangeetha Lahari, a fusion of Music and Dance reflecting the rich cultural heritage and traditions was celebrated in the school auditorium on August 22, 2025 with the theme ‘Sapthagirula Vaibhavam’. The programme was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest Prof. Uma Vennam, Vice Chancellor, Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visva Vidyalayam, Tirupati and the other Guests of the day Kalaratna Prof. Dwaram V.J. Lakshmi, Eminent Scholar and Professor (Retd.), Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visva Vidyalayam, Tirupati and Sri Julakanti Bala Subramanyam, renowned writer, Tirupati and Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju, Director and Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra.
The felicitations of the guests were followed by a cultural programme.
The musical celebration of the divine of the sacred Seven Hills fostering the harmonious blend of melody and rhythm created a captivating experience exceeding the expectations of the audience.

Bhavan‘s, S. V. Vidyalaya, Tirupati celebrated the 128th Birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter Sri Alluri Seetharama Raju on July 4, 2025 in the school auditorium. The event commenced with a floral tribute paid by the day’s guests to the portrait of Sri Alluri Seetharama Raju.
The day’s Chief guest Sri Mallarapu Nagarjuna, Secretary, Semana Vignana Kendram reflected on Sri Alluri Seetharama Raju’s enduring legacy and its relevance to contemporary life.
The special guest Sri T. Damodaram, Founder, President of Mahaprasthana Seva Samithi (MPSS) in his speech, propounded that Sri Alluri Seetharama Raju was an embodiment of courage, determination, perseverance and selflessness.
The highlights of the programme include an engaging skit, energetic song, inspiring speeches and a vibrant fancy dress competition all showcasing the students talents and creativity.
Various competitions were conducted to the students on this occasion and prizes were given to the winners by the day’s guests.
Apex Body Investiture Ceremony
Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati celebrated the Apex Body Investiture ceremony on July 9, 2025. The Chief Guest of the event was Sri K.V. Murali Krishna, I.P.S., Chief Vigilance & Security Officer, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati. The day’s Chief Guest gave away badges to the newly elected Apex Body members. Oath was then administered to promote cultural and ethical values and to encourage members to perform their duties with sincerity, honesty and integrity to uphold the legacy of the institution.

Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati celebrated 11th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2025 with the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’ featuring mass Yoga demonstrations by students in the school playground.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director & Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati appreciated Divyananda, a student of the school who secured second position in Yoga practice at state level and won the appreciation of the Prime Minister.
The day’s Chief Guest Swami Sukritananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati, in his speech said that Yoga is very important to attain physical strength, mental and intellectual well-being.
The highlight of the event was the Yoga demonstration by the students of Classes 8, 9 and 10 with precision and dedication.

Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati took a big leap towards sustainability with the WOW Recycling Programme.
In celebration of Earth Day, Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati, actively participated in the WOW (Wellbeing Out of Waste) Recycling Programme held on April 23, 2025. This commendable initiative, spearheaded by the Academy of Gandhian Studies (AGS) in collaboration with ITC, aimed to foster environmental consciousness among students through the ‘Interschool Recycling Championship’.
Students were enthusiastically involved in the campaign by contributing used paper and recyclable dry waste, including notebooks, textbooks, old newspapers, and plastic waste. Each student was provided a WOW recycling bag, which they filled and brought to school. Informative fliers were distributed, and students were oriented about the WOW initiative to ensure widespread awareness and involvement. Through this collective effort, the school contributed an impressive 5.6 tons of paper waste for recycling.
The initiative not only emphasised the importance of the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle but also offered practical rewards. Students were appreciated for their participation and were gifted with useful stationery items, motivating them further to continue eco-friendly practices.
In recognition of the school’s outstanding contribution, Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Director, was felicitated by Sri. G L Manohar on behalf of the Academy of Gandhian Studies for championing the cause of sustainability.
The programme reflected the school’s deep-rooted commitment to Swachh Bharat and environmental stewardship, inspiring students to become responsible citizens and protectors of our planet.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati, celebrated its Annual Day on January 9, 2025 with great enthusiasm and reverence, marking a significant milestone in its journey of excellence. The event commenced with the Bhavan’s prayer and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director & Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati Kendra, the day’s Chief Guest, Prof. D. Narayana Rao, Executive Director, Research, S.R.M. Group of Institutions, Chennai, and the Guest of Honour, Prof. Radha Govinda Tripaty, Registrar, Sri Venkateshwara Vedic University, Tirupati and Mrs. A. Vani Sree, Principal, Bhavan’s S.V.Vidyalaya, Tirupati.
Medals, mementos, and citations were awarded to academic toppers of AISSCE and AISSE examinations. Championships were awarded for different houses in various co-curricular activities and sports.

Bhavan’s Sri Venkateshwara Vidyalaya, Tirupati, celebrated World Meditation Day with great enthusiasm and reverence, emphasising the transformative benefits of meditation for mental and physical health. This year’s theme, ‘Inner Peace, Global Harmony’, resonated throughout the event, fostering a spirit of unity and mindfulness.
The programme commenced with the Bhavan’s prayer and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Sri Munikoti Lakshmana Murthy, Retired Income Tax Officer and Founder of Prabhakara Mitra Trust; Special Guest Sri M. Devendranatha Reddy, SMC Member and Retired Superintendent Engineer, APSPDCL; the Guest of Honour Sri Venu Gopal, Retired Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, and Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director and Treasurer of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan,Tirupati Kendra.
Sri Venu Gopal praised Bhavan’s for integrating Yoga with academics. Sri Munikoti Lakshmana Murthy engaged the students in a brief meditation session, demonstrating its calming effects. Sri M. Devendranatha Reddy encouraged students to embrace meditation for academic excellence and holistic development, and stressed the importance of balancing education and mindfulness for a bright future.
National Mathematics Day

On December 23, 2024, Bhavan’s Sri Venkateshwara Vidyalaya, Tirupati, celebrated National Mathematics Day with great fervour to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of the legendary mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan.
The school’s Math Club, Mathemagika, organised an array of activities, including competitions, cultural programmes and exhibitions. Students presented innovative models and exhibits, showcasing complex mathematical concepts such as geometric theories, Pythagorean principles, and 2D and 3D models. Among these, the Sri Chakra Model, crafted by senior secondary students, garnered special appreciation. The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony for Dr N. Satyanarayana Raju by the Maths Department, leaving students and parents inspired by the spirit of mathematics and innovation.

Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya celebrated Gita Jayanti with great reverence and enthusiasm on December 11, 2024. The event, attended by 500 students, teachers and dignitaries, commenced with Bhavan’s prayer and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest Dr. M.V.N. Pavan Kumar Sharma, Dean and Assistant Professor, S.V. Vedic University, Tirupati. The speakers highlighted the Bhagavad Gita’s universal philosophy and relevance, inspiring students to adopt its teachings. The event featured speeches, shloka recitations, a cultural song by students, and prize distribution.

Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati organised ‘Karthika Van Aradhana’ on November 20, 2024. The event, conducted in the school garden, brought together students, teachers, and dignitaries to promote environmental awareness and gratitude for nature.
Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju highlighted the historical and spiritual significance of the event. He reminisced about the sacred trees in the school campus referenced in epics like the Mahabharata and underscored the privilege of studying in a school located at the divine foothills of Lord Venkateswara.

The Diwali Sneha Sammelan 2024, a distinctive Diwali carnival, was celebrated at Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati, on October 29, 2024. The event was inaugurated by Bhavan’s Honorary Director and Treasurer, Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, along with staff and students.
The day’s Chief Guest, Dr. A. Raghurama Raju, Professor, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Tirupati, in his address stated that the celebration is a symbol to overcome the darkness of ignorance with the light of knowledge.
The students of the High School set up around 40 stalls, offering a variety of delicacies and entertaining games. Alumni who attended the carnival shared their cherished memories with friends. Visitors praised the students for showcasing their entrepreneurial skills through advertising and sales strategies, making the event a memorable one. Several competitions like Thoran Making, Greeting Card designing and Diya Decoration were conducted and prizes distributed to the winners. Sri D.K.S. Ramachandra Raju, Superintendent of Police, Special Protection Force, TT Devasthanams, Tirupati also graced the occasion.
