Au Revoir

A farewell function was held for the students of Class 12 (4th batch) on April 21, 2022 in the school auditorium.
The day’s programme began with the Bhavan’s prayer and lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.
Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director & Treasurer, in his address wished good luck to the outgoing students and advised them to imbibe good qualities, have a positive outlook, inculcate book reading and change their attitude.
Smt. S. Indira, Principal, in her address, encouraged students to look forward without stepping back and suggested that students should follow the path of righteousness and keep up their identity, not surrendering themselves to the worst situations and become a person of values rather than a person of success.
Mementos were presented and a few students shared their reminiscences of school and the teachers. This was followed by a cultural programme.

A Proud Moment

Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya, Tirupati’s two-member team secured the second position in the State finals of the Fit India Quiz conducted by the Ministry of Youth & Sports.
Master G. Ashwin of Grade XI (M.Bi.P.C.) and Master D. Nikhil Doddaga of Grade XII (M.P.C.) qualified in the initial preliminary round, receiving a cash prize of Rs.15,000/- for the school and Rs.2,000/- for the participants. The final round was held online on March 17.
The school received a cash award of Rs.1,15,000/- while the students received a cash award of Rs.6,000/- each as a token of appreciation from the Ministry of Youth & Sports.

Guru Purnima

Guru Purnima also known as Vyasa Poornima was celebrated on July 24, 2021 on the school premises. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director Treasurer explained that the Indian Culture is eternal and has been penned down in the form of Vedas, Upanishads and Puranas by our great ancient sages.
Highlighting the significance of Indian Culture, he stressed on the fact that Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has been striving to uphold the legacy of Cultural and Spiritual entities with an objective to transform future generations. He also said that this auspicious day assumes great significance as teachers are honoured with due respect.
He said that Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan plans to consecrate Veda Vyasa's idol in the campus, overlooking the Holy Tirumala Hills. Prior to the programme Saraswathi Homam was performed which was attended by the Kendra Committee Members and the staff.

Inauguration of Tennis Court

With a view to provide professional training to students, a synthetic tennis court was inaugurated in the school premises on September 20, 2021.
It was inaugurated by Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director and Treasurer. He motivated the students to play sports to stay healthy and strong by making the best use of the available resources. Later, the students, coach Mr. T. Vaibhav and the committee members played tennis.
The programme was graced by Prof. P. Murali, Vice Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Prof. P. Sudhakara Reddy, Hon. Secretary, Sri T. Venkateswarlu, Executive Engineer (Retd), T.T.D. and Member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Principal and Vice Principals.

Teachers' Day

Teachers' Day was celebrated with great pride and honour on September 4, 2021 on the school premises.
The programme began with the Bhavan's prayer. Floral tributes were paid to the eminent scholar- Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director & Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati, Smt. S. Indira, Principal and a few students.
On this day, staff who had completed 25 years of service in this institution were felicitated by Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju. Cultural programmes were organised by Class XII, expressing their gratitude to the teachers. Students presented 'Thank you' cards to the teachers virtually.

Toy Mela

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya organised a two day Toy Mela from 11 to 12 October, 2021 on the school premises.
The main objective of the programme was to showcase the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions of India under the initiative of EK Bharat Shreshth Bharat.
Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Hon. Director and Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati inaugurated the Toy Mela. The display of dolls and figurines depicted everyday scenes, agricultural practices, different temples, and deities of Andhra Pradesh and Punjab. The tiny tots presented folk dances which were a feast for the eyes.
The programme was graced by the presence of Prof. P. Sudhakara Reddy, Hon. Secretary, Dr. D. Ugandar Raju, Asst. Director, as also the Principal, Vice-Principal, teachers and parents, all of whom followed Covid protocol.

Spiritual Discourse

On October 21, 2021, the students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya had a wonderful opportunity to interact with Swami Anupamanandaji, Former Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati and Swami Sukrutanandaji, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati.
Swami Anupamanandaji in his address recalled his association with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati. Highlighting the significance of life as a student, he appealed to all the students to take the responsibility of upholding the cultural and spiritual legacy which would ultimately lead to the progress of self, society and Nation. Swami Sukrutanandaji, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati in his address exhorted the students to imbibe the knowledge by practising the following i.e. Eat Well, Play Well, Study Well and Pray Well and to aim high and reach greater heights.
The programme was graced by Prof. P. Sudhakara Reddy, Hon. Secretary, Dr. D. Ugandar Raju, Asst. Director, Sri T. Venkateswarlu, Member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Sri G.S. Prasad, Member, School Managing Committee, Principal, Vice Principals, Teachers and students.

Spiritual Discourse

Students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati had a wonderful opportunity to interact with Swami Anupamanandaji, former secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati and Swami Sukruthanandaji, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati.
On this occasion, a spiritual centre was inaugurated by Swami Anupamanandaji in the staff quarters of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati.
Swami Anupamanandaji in his address, recalled his association with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati. Highlighting the significance of a student's life, he said that the future lies in their hands.

Birth Anniversary of Dr. K. M. Munshiji

The 134th birth anniversary of Sri Kulapathi K. M. Munshiji - Bhavan's Day was celebrated on December 30, 2021 on the school premises.
Dr. N. Satyanarayana Raju, Honorary Director and Treasurer, speaking on this occasion, said that with the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was founded by Dr. K. M. Munshiji, who rendered his relentless service to the nation.
He also added that Munshiji envisioned India's Independence prior to its achievement and stepped ahead to develop India culturally and spiritually by establishing the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan to preserve and propagate the Indian culture.

Gita Jayanti

Gita Jayanti was celebrated on December 14, 2021 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati with an objective to help students understand the essence of the Gita.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Dr. P.T.G. Ranga Ramanujacharyulu explained that Sanskrit is the root of all languages and Sanskriti is the way of life propagated by Rishis. He added that Bhagavad Gita was the amalgamation of the above two.
The students of Class VIII & IX recited a few slokas from the Gita. A mellifluous song 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum' was presented by the students of Class IX.
