Puthucode Kendra
Dipika Sajeesh , Class 10 student of Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Mannapra, was awarded the K. M. Munshi Pratibha Scholarship for the academic year 2025–26, instituted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai Kendra. She received a cash award of Rs. 25,000 in recognition of her excellence in sports at state level, active participation in co-curricular activities including good academic performance.
Exceptional Achievement

Navneeth Sanil, a talented student of Class 5, was awarded a Certificate of Participation by the India Star World Records organisation for his involvement in the event ‘Reviving the Sacred Rhythms of Tradition’. The event was organised under the esteemed guidance of Master Jyothi Das, a renowned artist and cultural preserver from Guruvayur, Kerala.
Navneeth participated in the Ashtapathi Debut with the traditional temple instrument Idakka on September 28, 2025, at the revered Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple, along with 70 disciples. The event aimed to rejuvenate ancient musical traditions and promote awareness among the younger generation about India’s rich cultural heritage.
Navneeth’s participation was deeply appreciated by the organisers for his enthusiasm and dedication to this sacred art form. His achievement stands as a proud moment for the school and an inspiration to fellow students to value and uphold the nation’s cultural legacy.
Puthucode Kendra

As part of the ongoing Silver Jubilee celebrations of Bhavan’s Puthucode Kendra, a double treat was arranged for the invitees and guests at the remarkable event held on February 8, 2025, at Siva Mahal, Puthucode. The first part of the event commenced with anenchanting session of Sopana Sangeetham, presented by the renowned artistes Shri Rajesh Cheramangalam and Shri Pragat Pradeep Ayaloor. The second and main part of the event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the distinguished former DGP of Kerala, Dr. Alexander Jacob. The presidential address was delivered by Shri M. V. Ramnarayan, Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Puthucode Kendra.
Dr. Alexander Jacob then delivered an enlightening speech on the topic “Nurturing Excellence: Guiding Children towards Education and a Prestigious Career.” His thought-provoking address emphasised the significance of early habits, intellectual pursuits, and the support of parents and educators in guiding students toward success.
Inter School Chess Tournament

An inter-school chess tournament was conducted on February 22, 2025, where 36 students from 23 schools participated.
The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. M.S. Govindan Kutty, International Arbiter. Shri CA Gokul Das, Senior Management Committee Member, presided over the inauguration.
The tournament began at 10:00 a.m., witnessing intense competition among the young minds. The prize winners were:
1st Prize: Dvanith Vinodkumar (St. Dominic’s Convent English School, Sreekrishnapuram).
2nd Prize: Niranjan S Prasanth (Vyasa Vidya Peetham, Kallekad, Palakkad)
3rd Prize: P. S. Athul P.S. (Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Mannapra, Puthucode).
Puthucode Kendra

The Bhavan’s Kendra at Puthucode was inaugurated on Vijayadashami day in October 2000. This year, Oct 2024- Oct 2025, is being celebrated as the Silver Jubilee Year in the Kendra and various programmes have been conducted/ planned for the rest of the year. Programmes already completed are:
Satbhav Planetarium Show
As part of the Silver Jubilee celebration, “Exploring the Wonders of the Universe” planetarium programme was conducted. A replica of the digital planetarium was installed in the school premises on October 15, 2024, by Satbhav Planetarium, Alappuzha. The sessions were conducted for students from LKG to Std. 9. Students witnessed stunning visualisations of celestial bodies and phenomena.
Simplified Kundalini Yoga Course
As a part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, a Yoga Training session was conducted by Sri. Udayakumar, Senior Professor and Managing Trustee SKY Yoga, Palakkad, for the staff. The training focused on Kaya Kalpa theory and practice. This session was immensely beneficial for all the attendees and proved to be a rejuvenating experience for the mind, body and soul.
Eye Camp
The Trinity Super Speciality Eye Hospital, Palakkad, conducted a free eye check-up campaign in the school on December 10 to 11, 2024. All students, staff and parents benefitted from this campaign. Kannambra Grama Panchayat President, Smt. M Sumathi inaugurated this camp.
Kalampattu
Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Mannapra, Palakkad, organised the Kalampattu Shilpashala on January 13, 2025. The chief guest for the event was Smt. T M Vijayalakshmi, who had contributed immensely at the foundational stage of the Puthucode Kendra. 
The renowned Kalampattu artist, Shri. Kadannamanna Srinivasan, conducted the wonderful performance. Dedicated to introducing the younger generation to this sacred temple art form, he has conducted over 248 Kalampattu performances across various educational institutions and organisations. He is a recipient of several prestigious awards such as the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy Puraskar, Kerala Folklore Academy Puraskar, Kerala Kshetrakala Academy Puraskar, Yuva Prathibha Puraskar, Tilakasmrithi Puraskar, Shiva Shakti Puraskar, etc.
While performing, he explained the intricacies of the art form, offering valuable insights to the audience and sang along with playing the Nandurni instrument. The Kalampattu Shilpashala proved to be a magnificent educational celebration, successfully igniting an appreciation for Kerala’s rich artistic traditions among the younger generation, marking another milestone in the school’s Silver Jubilee celebrations.
Puthucode Kendra

The 22nd Annual day of Bhavan's Vidya Mandir Mannapra was celebrated on December 20, 2022 at the school premises.
Shri. C. Subramaniam IPS (Retd. DGP, Kerala Police) inaugurated the function. Kannambra Gram Panchayath President Smt. Sumaty M., Puthucode Gram Panchayath President Smt. I. Haseena graced the function. Shri. M. V. Ramnarayan Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Puthucode Kendra presided over the function.
Puthucode Kendra

The Kendra's alumnus Jeeva Sivadas secured 1st rank in the International Medical Admissions Test (IMAT). He was studying at Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Kolaikkad, Mannapra from 6th to 10th grade and secured 95% marks in 10th grade (2019-20) and 97% marks in 12th grade (2021-22).
Puthucode Kendra
The birth centenary of Shri S. Ramakrishnanji, Former Executive Secretary and Director General was commemorated on the school premises on July 22, 2022. Hon. Secretary Shri R. Anantanarayanan reminisced about the precious association enjoyed with the late Shri S. Ramakrishnanji who was closely attached to the Kendra, and in particular with the founder, the late P. A. Ramakrishnanji. Cdr. P. S. Venkatesh, Vice Chairman also recollected the contributions and social commitment, as well as the selfless service rendered by Shri S. Ramakrishnanji to society as a whole.
Puthucode Kendra

National Sanskrit Seminar on Vedas, Vedangas and Darsanas was conducted by Puthucode Kendra with the support of Madras Sanskrit College on February 24 and 25, 2020.
On February 24, 2020 Dr. T. P. Radhakrishnan, Principal, Madras Sanskrit College, Dr. C. Hariharan, Director, Digital Campus, The Madras Sanskrit College, Shri. S. Murali, Asst. Prof. Jyothisha, Madras Sanskrit College gave speeches on Vedas & Vedangas in the pre-lunch session.
Dr. Mani Dravid Shastrigal, HOD Mimamsa, Madras Sanskrit College chaired the post lunch session, in which Dr. P. P. Shridhar Upadhyaya, Director Projects, Madras Sanskrit College, Dr. V. Ramakrishnan, Asst. Prof, Advaita Vedanta, Madras Sanskrit College, Dr. Srinivasan, Hon. Professor The Kuppuswamy Sastri Research Institute & Retd. Principal Vivekananda College, Chennai and Dr. K. S. Maheswaran, HOD, Vedanta, Madras Sanskrit College gave speeches on Vedantas.
On the second day Dr. Balasubramanian, Deputy Director, The Kuppuswamy Sastri Research Institute, Chennai, Dr. K. Shyam Sundara, Asst. Prof. Vyakarana, Madras Sanskrit College, Prof. Sundar Balakrishnan, Professional Astrologer, Mumbai, Shri. V. Ramachandran, Asst. Prof. SreeChandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa MahaVidyalaya, Enathur, Kanchipura spoke about Dharsanas & Astrology and Sanskrit.
Dr. Uma Maheswari Shankar, Principal, Head Dept.of Philosophy SIES College of Arts & Science & Commerce, Mumbai, Shri. Abhinav Kadambi, Sanskrit Teacher, Krishnamacharya Healing & Yoga foundation, Chennai addressed the gathering in the post lunch session. Keynote address was given by Shri. Girishkumar L, Chairman, Shripuram Tantra Research Centre, Irinjalakuda, Thrissur and Valedictory Address was given by r.Srinivasan Duraiswamy Phd, Head-Technology, New Platform, Vice-President Reliance Industries Ltd, Navi Mumbai.
