Classmate All-Rounder

Classmate all Rounder 2022, a large-scale National Multi-Skill competition for school students was launched by ITC’s Classmate, the largest notebooks brand in India, to facilitate holistic development of students and help them become well rounded individuals. Classmate All Rounder was conducted at 3 Levels—School, City and National—with each level having a set of competitions that evaluated multiple skills across academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Saanvi Gupta of Class 6 from Bhavan Vidyalaya Sector-15, Panchkula won the first prize. She was awarded a trophy and a cheque for 10000 rupees. 
She was selected for the final round that was held in Bangalore.

Exam Warriors Art Competition

Under the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula organised a poster making competition ‘Exam Warriors Art Competition’ on January 23, 2023 for the students of Classes 9 to 12 in the school premises. 
Students drew beautiful and creative posters on various themes. Haryana Assembly Speaker Sh. Gian Chand Gupta along with Chairman, Bhavan’s Panchkula Kendra Justice G. C. Garg (Retd.), esteemed members of the school’s Kendra Committee and distinguished dignitaries graced the occasion.
In the prize distribution ceremony, the students were felicitated with a certificate and the book Exam Warriors authored by the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi, which has been exclusively written for young students to help them deal with the stress of exams.

30th National Children’s Science Congress

A research project of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula got selected in the National Level of National Children’s Science Congress. The state level of NCSC was organised at DIET Malab (NUH) on December 20 – 21, 2022. The project was prepared by Dhruv Goyal and Govind Kansal of Class 11, under the guidance of Ms Anjali Sharma (TGT - Physics). They represented Haryana at the National Level of National Children’s Science Congress held in Ahmedabad from January 27 – 31, 2023. The project was based on the theme ‘Fostering Health, Nutrition and Well-Being’.

CBSE National Gymnastics Championship

It was a moment of pride for Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula as the school team of gymnasts mesmerised everyone by its amazing performance in the CBSE National Gymnastics Championship. The school bagged second position in U-11 category of girls. The team consisted of Lakshita and Aashni of class 5, Vedika from class 6 and Vedant from class 1.

Sports Achievement

The 60th National Roller Skating and Roller Hockey Championship was held at Bengaluru from December 11 to 22, 2022. The 18 membered contingent of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula won 21 medals in different events. The team bagged 10 Gold Medals, 9 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals. The team included Gopesh, Daksh, Advit, Samarth, Yug, Harshita, Ridhi, Harshita Verma, Jayati, Saksham, Sanvi, Garima, Manveer, Bhavneet, Rudransh, Sanjana, Utsavi and Aarna Tanwar.

‘Shri Kulwant Singh Literary Fest’

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula yet again celebrated the addition of a new event to its extraordinary legacy for the book lovers and literary enthusiasts. ‘Shri Kulwant Singh Literary Fest’ commemorated the birth anniversary of its Founder Chairman Late Shri Kulwant Singhji on December 21, 2022. The event was graced by the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee Dr. B. N. Goswamy, a distinguished art historian, Professor Emeritus of Art History at Punjab University, Chandigarh, as the Chief Guest along with eminent personalities like Mr. Anil Srinivasan, Dr. Sumita Misra, Ms. Rajni Sekhri Sibal and Mr. Vivek Atray as Guests of Honour.
In a befitting ode to the visionary that was Shri Kulwant Singh, a documentary was screened highlighting his vision towards the school and his love for literature which was followed by the release of the logo of the event. An emotional touch was added when Smt. Amar Kulwant Singh, wife of Chairman Sh. Kulwant Singh ji talked about his love for literature. ‘Abhivyakti—An E-treasure of Creative Expressions’ which is a compilation of literary works of parents, students and teachers was also released.

International Taekwondo Championship

Nitagya Singh, a remarkable young martial artist studying in Std. 3 of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, has made the school proud by representing India at the Bangkok Open International Taekwondo Championship in U-8 category. Like a true champion, she demonstrated her inner strength and bagged the silver medal for India. Nitagya is a very promising sportsperson and has proven her mettle by winning accolades on a regular basis at various national and international level competitions.

Biennial Sports Meet – 2022

The Vidyalaya celebrated the 12th biennial Sports Day on November 25 and 26, 2022 amidst great mirth, verve and camaraderie. The hon’ble chief guest who graced the event was Sh. Om Prakashji, Dy. Secretary-Sports (Retd.) (Dhyan Chand Life Achievement Awardee). Present on the occasion were the esteemed members of the school management and a large gathering of parents.
The Principal welcomed the guests and dignitaries and shared a brief report of the school’s sports activities and achievements of students in sports. This was entailed by the hoisting of the school flag and declaration of the Meet open by the Chief Guest followed by the lighting of the flame and releasing of balloons, to mark the expression of joy and merriment. The school displayed (via mass procession) all its elite athletes who had brought laurels to the school at different levels. The most intriguing aspect, embellishing the event was the field display involving mass student participation. The students of the four houses competed against one another in the 100m, 200m and 400m races, relay race, long jump, shot put, etc. The display of yoga, aerobic exercises, dumbbell drill, calisthenics and rhythmic dance exercises presented a scenic view. The students’ energetic performance in Punjabi, Haryanvi and the Tiranga dance mesmerised the audience.

Holy Dip on Gurupurab

Gurupurab, which is commemorated as the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji, the founder of Sikhism, was celebrated at Vidyalaya with utmost love and reverence on November 7, 2022. The Principal herself initiated the pious and momentous occasion by reciting the Path of Shri Sukhmani Sahib joined by the teaching and non-teaching staff. The Vidyalaya then echoed to the melodious Shabad by the music teachers. The event culminated with all the staff members having langar served in the school. At the end of the langar, the school staff took an oath to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Devji viz. Naam Japna, Kirat Karna and Vand Chhakna.

Macfair International Competition

The team of Bhavanites made their mark at Macfair International, a series of different competitions, organised by City Montessori Inter College, Lucknow from November 5-8, 2022.
The students won the first position at Athenian theatrics (Science Drama). The winning team consisted of Aseesjot Singh, Kartik Goyal, Mayank Sinha, Vishwajeet, all of Class 10, Aadi Bhardwaj and Ojasvi Kaushik, both of Class 11 and Manas Mehra of Class 12. They were declared winners from among the 75 national and international esteemed educational institutes that participated. Aseesjot Singh and Kartik Goyal also bagged first position in the Maths quiz by solving mind boggling arithmetic equations. In extempore, Mayank Sinha bagged first position with his excellent performance. Overall, it was a great learning experience for the students.
