Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula celebrated the auspicious occasion of ‘Gurpurab’ with the recitation of ‘Shri Sukhmani Sahib’ Path, soul-stirring melodies of Shabad Kirtan, and devotional hymns, reflecting the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev. Fostering a sense of unity and spiritual connection, the soothing music and meaningful lyrics left a profound impact on all the attendees. Another vital aspect of Sikh tradition, Langar, a community kitchen, was organised for the entire teaching and non-teaching fraternity.
The celebration of Guru Nanak Jayanti not only fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation of Sikh culture and values but also promoted the Sikh teachings of peace, equality, and selfless service among the Bhavanites.
It was a jubilant moment for Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula when Principal Smt. Gulshan Kaur obtained blessings from His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama, on November 1, 2023. The auspicious moment came during the KRUU Sanmathi Retreat held from October 30 to November 1, 2023, at McLeodganj. It was a group of KRUU Ambassadors-progressive educators.
The three-day workshop highlighted the retreat’s core themes of inspiration, debate and contemplation. Prominent personalities like Shri Vivek Atray, IAS, and Mr. Vivek Sunder, Visiting Professor at esteemed institutions and Director of KRUU, came together for the occasion.
Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula hosted the International Kids Film Festival (IKFF) 2023 in the school premises from November 16-20, 2023. The festival, aimed at fostering a love for cinema among students, showcased an array of films in different languages and themes, captivating audiences from kindergarteners to Std. 12 students.

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula organised a grand cultural event, ‘Mhara Haryana—A Cultural Extravaganza of Vibrant Culture of Haryana’ on November 10, 2023, in the school auditorium.
The honourable DC of Panchkula, Shri Sushil Sarwan, IAS, graced the occasion with his presence as the Chief Guest. The event depicted the rich cultural heritage, festivals, sports and economic growth of Haryana through mesmerising dances and songs interwoven in a well-crafted narrative. From its ancient art forms to its traditional clothing and earthy lifestyle, the play had a lot to showcase with regard to the rich culture of Haryanvi society. The wonderfully sung song by the students and the captivating tunes of the orchestra created a lively mood. The various art forms like pictures, paintings and local handicrafts showcased the rich cultural heritage of Haryana. For guests and visitors, the event offered a great cultural immersion.
The principal of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, Smt. Gulshan Kaur, recently joined an international delegation of eminent educational leaders that travelled together to Finland, which is known for having a top-notch educational system. The delegation’s primary agenda included visits to three exemplary Finnish schools, Syvalahden Koulu, Otaniemen Lukio Gymnasium Upper Secondary School and Kivimies International. They actively participated in educational workshops, emphasising key features of Finnish education. These sessions allowed the delegates to grasp the unique pedagogical approaches inherent in Finnish education. This educational exchange signifies a significant step towards enhancing educational practices in India and Bangladesh by drawing inspiration from the excellence of the Finnish education system.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, hosted the much anticipated LAAM EXPORAMA 2023, a commemorative event dedicated in the fond memory of its founder, Vice Chairman Shri Lala Amarnath Aggarwal on November 3-4, 2023.
The event is an acclamation to the far-sighted dream of the visionary and compassionate leader Shri Lala Amarnath Aggarwal, and hence offers an array of activities designed to unleash the inherent potential and the creative genius of young scholars. More than 300 students of 20 schools of the tri-city participated in the gala event, promoting a healthy competitive spirit among the participants.

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula students embarked on a bicycle rally to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary, carrying a message of peace and unity. The enthusiastic students started the rally from the school premises, covering sectors 14, 10, 11, 5, 4 and 2 before returning to the school. They adorned their bicycles with slogans reflecting the ideals of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, emphasising the strength found in unity.
Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, hosted a comprehensive Health Screening Camp within its premises. The screening camp was organised in collaboration with the Sahayta Charitable Welfare Society, an NGO dedicated to the welfare, prevention, and early detection of cancer patients, and the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital Mohali. The camp began with an awareness session led by Dr. Vandita Pahwa, the Incharge of Preventive Oncology, followed by screenings for oral cancer, breast cancer, and cervix cancer.
The Chess Association Panchkula proudly hosted the Shri T.R. Sethi Memorial Chess Championship 2023–24, a prestigious event dedicated to the memory of a great chess enthusiast, Shri T. R. Sethi.
