Panchkula Kendra
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula organised an unforgettable educational trip to Japan from June 15, 2023 to June 23, 2023, providing students with a remarkable opportunity to explore the country's rich culture, history, and technological advancements. The 9-day journey was filled with immersive experiences, fostering global awareness and personal growth among not only the students but also the accompanying faculty members of the school.
The most distinctive part of the trip was the students' visit to the Indian Embassy in Japan and their interaction with Ambassador H.E. Sibi George, IFS. Another enlightening aspect of this trip was the visit to Yuhigaoka High School, Osaka where the group was shown the traditional toys, an arm wrestling demonstration, confectionary tasting and a hands-on experience of making origami.
A visit to Miraikan Science Museum was an eye-opening experience for all the members, where they had the chance to witness robotic simulations, fancy gizmos about sundry concepts in optics, a fresh perspective about environmental conservation, combating the plastic menace globally and ISS simulation. The Origami Experience added a creative segment to each one of them as they learned the process of dyeing paper and the art of making moving lips.
An emotional touch was added to the trip when the group visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial. The contingent also visited Mt. Fuji, a majestic spectacle to behold, enjoyed a Lake Ashi Cruise, visited the Honda Showroom, experienced the Bullet Train, admired the Golden Pavilion, explored the Osaka Wheel, participated in a Zen Experience, and engaged in a Tea Ceremony.
Panchkula Kendra
A contingent of five students and their instructor from Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula participated in the prestigious 8th International Convention of the 'Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music Among Youth' (SPIC MACAY). This esteemed event took place at the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology in Nagpur, spanning from May 29 to June 4, 2023. The convention offered a magnificent display of cultural marvels, including classical music performances, dance exhibitions, folk art showcases, a sculpture workshop, cinema presentations, and heritage tours. Over 1,500 delegates and young individuals from both India and abroad congregated at this event, where renowned artists captivated the audience with their awe-inspiring talent.
Panchkula Kendra
Three students from Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, Hriday, Parth and Akshita, received prestigious recognition for their outstanding academic achievements. Dainik Bhaskar organised a grand ceremony at the Indradhanush Auditorium in Panchkula, where these exceptional students were felicitated. The event was graced by the esteemed guest Sh. Gyan Chand Gupta, the Speaker of Haryana Assembly, who presented them with mementos and certificates.

The students of Nursery and LKG participated in a novel initiative, 'Rishton ki Saugaat' which was organised on 30 and 31 May 2023.
The event highlighted parent-child bonding and provided an opportunity for the young families to come together, with cordiality and mutual understanding and at the same time, exhibit their skill-sets by participating in the events like 'Decorate my Muffin', 'Album of Memories' and 'Healthy Tiffin'.

With an aim to give young Bhavanites an opportunity to understand their rich culture, traditions and values, and reconnect them with their roots with a sense of pride, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula organised a cultural event, 'Punjabi Virsa-”A Joyful Celebration Of Exuberant Culture of Punjab' on April 21, 2023 in the school Auditorium.
Shri Anil Kumar Sharma, Regional Education Officer (North & North East Zone), Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai graced the occasion with his presence as the chief guest. The senior school students presented Punjabi culture and traditions through an entertaining dance-drama in their unique and captivating style. It was a delight to watch the august gathering enjoy Punjabi folk music, songs and dances that were impeccably interwoven in the well-crafted narrative. The play, a collaborative endeavour of students of the Filmmaking & Theatre Club and Dance Club & Music Club, wowed the spectators.
The students of the Art & Craft club of the school put up an art exhibition presenting the old world charm of Punjab through pictures, paintings and local handicrafts.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula once again proved its mettle in the Class 12 CBSE Board Results 2022-23, topping the tricity results, with 99.4% marks scored by Kabir Sandhu in the non-medical stream.
School Toppers
1. Kabir Sandhu emerged as school topper with a laudable score of 99.4%. Kabir is currently a member of the International High IQ society, has won various competitions in IISER, Mohali, and has scored the highest rank in BRICS Maths Competition along with holding the key portfolio of Club Secretary.
2. Prisha Shekhar stood 2nd in the school with 99% and a perfect 100 in Food Production.
3. Udita Kothiyal stood third with 97.4% and a perfect 100 in Business Studies.
Stream-Wise Toppers
Non-Medical
1. Kabir Sandhu topped the non-medical stream with 99.4% and scored perfect 100 in Maths and Web Applications.
2. Raghav Goyal stood 2nd in the non-medical stream with 97.4% and a perfect 100 in Music. He also brought laurels to the school by securing AIR 20 in JEE Main.
3. Ridhi stood 3rd at 97.2%.
Medical
1. Ishaan Guleria secured the 1st Position in the Medical stream by scoring 95.6%.
2. Janisha Gupta stood 2nd with 95%.
3. Sana Chopra scored 94.4% and came third.
Commerce
1. Udita Kothiyal topped the Commerce Stream by scoring 97.4% and 100 in Business Studies.
2. She was followed by Ayushman Rana with 96.2%.
3. Roshni Sood stood 3rd with a score of 95.6%.
Humanities
1. Prisha Shekar scored an incredible 99% with a perfect 100 in Food Production.
2. Shaurya Mahajan bagged the 2nd position with a laudable 98% and 100 in Legal Studies. Shaurya was a dynamic School Core member and also a part of World Teen Parliament.
3. The 3rd Position was secured by Vaishnavi at 97.4%.
Achievements
The sports and other co-curricular achievements of the following students are also commendable.
1. Maulik Jindal who ranked AIR 75 in JEE Main scored 95%.
2. Vasu Kansal who ranked AIR 116 in JEE Main scored 93%.
3. Samaksh Shahi of Commerce is an International Roller Hockey player who scored 84.2%.
4. Atharva of Humanities, another International Roller Hockey Player, scored 89.2%.
5. Aayush of Humanities, scored a commendable 91.6% despite being a student with a learning disability.
Panchkula Kendra
Rachit Ahuja, a student of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, brought laurels to the school by securing notable victories in two prestigious national-level competitions. He participated in the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) National Level Camp, held on 20 and 21 May, 2023 at IISER in Thiruvananthapuram. Competing against participants from across the country, he secured the 3rd prize in the North Zone. He was presented with a trophy, certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 2000/- during the VVM awards ceremony. Additionally, he was offered the coveted Srijan internship programmes by VVM.
Rachit's knowledge and passion for astronomy was put to good use in the Astronomy Olympiad National Level Camp held at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education in Mumbai from 1 to 18 May 2023 where he won a gold medal.
Panchkula Kendra
Saksham Kumar, a talented and dedicated student of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, achieved outstanding results in academics and sports. He scored an incredible 97.2% in the Class 10 board examination.
In addition to his scholastic achievements, Saksham has also excelled in sports. He has an impressive track record of being a seven-time national player. His talent has earned him numerous accolades, including over 300 medals in speed skating and roller hockey.
Saksham's leadership qualities are commendable as well. He has served as the House Captain and has been a member of the School Cabinet, actively contributing to the school community.
Saksham's ability to inspire and motivate others is truly remarkable. His exceptional oratory skills have garnered appreciation and recognition. Saksham's remarkable achievements in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities are a testament to his exceptional talent, hard work, and perseverance.
Panchkula Kendra
Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula participated in the prestigious National Technology Week, held from May 11 to May 14, 2023, at Pragati Maidan, Delhi. The school put up an outstanding performance at the event, which was graced by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The school team was led by Mr. Ashu Gupta, PGT-English, and the talented eighth-grader, Utkarsh.
The team was selected as one of eight representing the Ministry of Education, for the prestigious Accelerator Model. At the core of their success lay the 'Fun with Elements' board game, which had emerged victorious in the 'Toycathon 2021', an inter-ministerial initiative. This innovative game ingeniously makes learning the periodic table and chemical elements engaging and interactive.
Among the forty teams featured in the Pavilion, Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula stood out. This recognition is a testament to the team's exceptional product pitch and the game's visible potential to revolutionize education.
Panchkula Kendra
The team from Bhavan Vidyalaya won First Prize in the Junior Scientist Competition organised by IIT Ropar. The students devised a way to convert the waste water produced by air-conditioners into potable water. The team consisted of three students, Jannat, Srishti and Neev. The project was developed under the guidance of teacher-in-charge Shri Yuvraj Ghaly.
