75th Independence Day

The 75th Independence Day of India was celebrated with solemnity and dignity in the premises of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula. The programme included various live performances. Teaching and non-teaching staff recalled the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters through the Invocation, Antakshari, prayers, patriotic songs, speeches and poems. Patriotic folk dances by the teachers mesmerised everyone. Eighty students from the school participated in the Independence Day Celebration organised by the district administration in the parade ground. They depicted the journey of Tiranga through a dance drama.

Visit by R. J. Jassi

The students of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula showcased a glimpse of their patriotic fervour weeks prior to the 75th Independence Day. This enthusiasm was also apparent during the visit of R.J. Jassi and his team from My FM 94.3. The team interacted with the students and engaged them in various fun-filled activities to promote ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, a government initiative to instill patriotism. The winners of various competitions received movie tickets for the complete family. The school also organised a patriotic song workshop.

Class X results

Out of 222 students who appeared for the examination, six students scored 99% and above; 54 students scored more than 95 % and above whereas 130 students scored above 90% in aggregate.
Sai Gaurav Sahoo (99.6%), Akshat Goel (99.4%) and Soumil Pramanick (99.2%) emerged as school toppers by bagging first, second and third position respectively.

Debate Championship

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula organised the Seventh Edition of Parliamentary Debate Championship. The debate championship this year had more than 300 participants in teams of three from all over tricity and nearby. The opening ceremony of the event began with the auspicious lamp lighting and mantra chanting. Later, there were awesome band performances and dance dramas. The chief guest for the ceremony was Shri A.N. Mathur, Retd. Chief Secretary Haryana and Vice Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Panchkula Kendra.

Chinmay Khokar, Class 12 student of Bhavan’s Vidyalaya, Panchkula has been selected to represent India at the International Chemistry Olympiad which will be held at Tianjin, China. Along with the Chemistry Olympiad, Chinmay has also qualified for the International Astronomy Olympiad. Adding to his achievements, he is a KVPY scholar as well.
Kabir Sandhu, studying in Class 12 (Non- Medical) was selected for the first-year Mehta Fellowships Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS), from July 3 to August 13, 2022 at Boston University, USA. As a first year PROMYS participant, he joined approximately 60 other first-year participants in an intensive effort to explore a large assortment of unusually challenging problems in Number Theory.
Aseesjot of Class 10 topped the nation in the renowned ACER- IBT test for Mathematics. ACER IBT is an International Benchmark Test which allows individual performances to be tracked against international standards.
Three Panchkula Bhavanites have bagged the opportunity to participate in the International Roller Hockey Championship to be held in Argentina from October 24 to November 10, 2022. The proud achievers are: Atharva Sharma (Class 12), Samaksh Shahi (Class 12) and Harshita (Class 10).
Lakshay of Class 12, 2020-21, has made the school proud by securing AIR 52 in the prestigious All India Law Entrance Test—2022 (AILET) with his grit and hard work.
Ambika P. Khachi, a student of Class 12, has been selected for Lumiere’s Research Programme in the discipline of Philosophy, Gender Studies and Public Policy. Her research topic was ‘Revisiting Simone De Beavouir’s Eternal Feminine: How far have we come?’ Founded by Harvard and Oxford researchers, the Lumiere Research Scholar Program offers students the opportunity to work one-on-one with a PhD mentor to learn about the cutting edge developments in their field of interest and produce an independently-developed research project.
Arpita, a student of Class 9, achieved National Rank 1 in Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan Exam. She won prize money worth INR 15000 and a Trophy.

Sardar Kulwant Singhji, Founder Chairman, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula left for his heavenly abode on July 1, 2022.
Born on December 21, 1933, Kulwant Singhji hailed from Delhi, and was an alumnus of the prestigious Hindu College, Delhi. He was inducted into the Indian Administrative Services in the year 1958 and rose to the rank of Chief Secretary in the Haryana government. After his retirement, he dedicated his life to the promotion of education.
It was due to his relentless efforts that Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula was established in the year 1994.
A great visionary, he believed that a good system of education should aim at the holistic development of personality to ensure peace and happiness. It should also ensure that the mind of an individual is so cultured as to enable him or her to comprehend and accomplish his/her full potential—of mind, body and spirit—in both personal and social spheres.
He will always be remembered as a man of principles with exceptional leadership qualities, dynamism and unwavering commitment to excellence.
His unflappable approach, wisdom, indefatigable spirit and courage of conviction to take correct decisions enabled the school to scale great heights. It is considered one of the top CBSE schools in the country.
May God give strength to his family to bear the irreparable loss and may his soul rest in eternal peace.

Laam Exporama-2020

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula organised LAAM EXPORAMA-2020, an annual two-day fun-filled event to commemorate founder Vice Chairman Shri Lala Amarnath Aggarwal on November 6 and 7, 2020 on the virtual platform.
The event aimed at bringing out innate talent and potential of the students. The event was not only the medium to exhibit the creativity and versality of the participants but was also instrumental in nurturing healthy competitive spirit among them.
The programmes conducted over two days included folk dance, quiz and various other creative competitions. Thereafter prize distribution was organised in which all the participants were given digital certificates and Amazon vouchers were given to the winners.
The overall running trophy was bagged by Bhavan's Vidyamandir School, Tripura and Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula.

Celebrating Gurpurab

Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula celebrated 'Gurpurab' with devotion and reverence. The school paid tributes to Shri Guru Nanak Dev by spreading his divine message of harmony, humility and equality. On the occasion, short films based on the life of Guru Sahib, were screened. Various Shabads were recited by music teachers. Students of class 11 and 12 contributed for a good cause. They celebrated the day with the underprivileged children of Bhavan Chetna Group. They distributed dry ration and masks among these children. Kadah Prashad was also distributed among the attendees.

Fit India Week

In an endeavour to foster good health and fitness among students, Bhavan Panchkula observed Fit India Week from December 1-7, 2020. The week had plethora of events which included virtual assemblies, Common Yoga Protocols, free hand exercises and brain games etc., wherein every dimension of fitness was taken care of. The highlight of the week long celebrations was a highly inspirational talk of Mr. Vivek Atray, Ex IAS officer and Motivational Speaker on Saturday 5th December on YouTube Live stream. Mr. Atray attributed his success to the threefold mantra of Physical, Mental and Spiritual fitness and advised the students to imbibe it in their lives. He also guided the young brigade to strike a balance in everything through moderation.
