Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is an intellectual, cultural and educational movement dedicated to the twin tasks of interpreting the age - old yet age less message of our country and of integrating our varied and vibrant culture with the changing needs of the present day world. True to the ideals of the Bhavan, the Kochi Kendra strives ceaselessly to promote and propagate performing arts and rich Indian heritage. The Kendra serves as an excellent platform for celebrated and aspiring artistes and has a separate wing Kalabharati - which started functioning in September 2009 for Art and Culture classes.
