Celebration of Dasa Namana

Purandhara and Kanakadasa, the celebrated saint-singers of Karnataka were in focus in a programme conducted by the Bhavan’s Dr. D. Krishnamurthy and Smt. Shakuntalamma Memorial School, Shivamogga. The programme was aptly titled “Dasa Namana”.
The programme focused on the life and works of the great disciples of sage Vyasa Rayaru. It comprised two skits, a Harikatha and rendering of a few ragas.
Its special feature was that students from standard I and IV were involved in its enactment.
It was an engrossing and educative programme testifying to the budding talent among the youngsters. Pruthvik Kashyap, who rendered the Harikatha, stole the show.
