Leather Puppet Show

Panchavati, an episode from Ramayana and the role of Mahatma Gandhi in India’s Freedom Movement, formed the topics for a programme of Leather puppetry presented by Belagallu Veeranna and his party at the Khincha auditorium, Bengaluru on March 21.
Programmed by Sudaya Suryasthan Foundation for an endowment created by Dr. Dayalu and Smt. Sugunamma with the Bhavan, it provided the ideal rapport for the presentation’s success.

Women’s Day

Woman’s reservation issue came up for a debate on March 8. The meeting was convened by the students and staff of the Bengaluru Bhavan’s colleges. The cutting of a cake to mark the celebration of the 100th Women’s Day coincided with the event.
The three Yadavs who opposed the Bill, found in the Upper House a section of women students, as comrades in arms, though they opposed it for another reason.
They also had a sizeable number of proponents in the debate in the college too.
