Asianet Excellence Award 2026

Shri Prabhurajan Edatholil, Executive Vice Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Ottapalam Kendra was honoured with the ‘ASIANET EXCELLENCE AWARD 2026’ by Asianet Satellite Communications, Ottapalam in recognition of his community involvement in education. In a function held on June 27, 2026 at Ottapalam, the award was presented to him by Hon’ble M.L.A Adv. Premkumar in the presence of a large audience representing various schools in Palakkad District and around.
Shri Prabhurajan E has been associated with Bhavan’s Ottapalam since its inception as the founder-Treasurer of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Ottapalam Kendra.
He dedicated the Award to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Bhavan’s Vidyalaya Ottapalam.

All Kerala Inter School Quiz Competition

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Ottapalam Kendra, organised ‘All Kerala Inter-School Quiz Competition’ on January 2, 2026. Shri V. K. Sreekandan, Member of Parliament, officially inaugurated the quiz competition. A total number of 32 schools from various districts of Kerala state participated in the competition.
In the contest, Adish Sach Raj and Advaid Menon of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan School, Valanchery secured the first position. Aman and Malavika Menon of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, Ernakulam won the second position, while Siddharth Vijayagopal and Prahlad Satheesh of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Aerur, Kochi secured the third position.
The winning school was awarded the Kulapati Dr. K. M. Munshi Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy, a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, certificates, and mementos. The first runner-up received Rs. 15,000 along with certificates and mementos, and the second runner-up received Rs. 10,000 along with certificates and mementos.
In addition, all students who participated in the competition were presented with certificates and books published by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

Solar Lights

Chairman Dr K S Menon sponsored 10 solar lights for the front courtyard of the new building of the school. These lights will provide ample illumination to the area during the night. We are extremely grateful to our chairman for this contribution to improve the facilities of our school.
